I was planning on writing a little on the Para / Blackwater training when I realized, outside of Todd Jarrett being there at Blackwater, I didn't know much else about what was going on. I asked Kerby (the Para PR guy) about what would be going on and he told me

The pistol training will be a condensed version of Todd's competition class with a shoot house thrown in for fun.

I don't know if that's the advanced or intermediate class, but I definitely hope it's the intermediate one since I have no experience whatsoever with competition shooting at all.

No word yet if we'll be able to get a demo run with the new Para rifle. If they're available by August, we might get a sneak peek, which will be nifty.

There's also supposedly a trip to visit Blackhawk which makes some pretty nifty gear. It would behoove you all to email Blackhawk and tell them that they should give me an entire SWAT rig to wear as some decent SWAG because a) I'd look ridiculous, b) regardless of how I'd look, I'd wear it, and c) it would make for some entertaining TV & YouTube videos as I relentlessly parody that SWAT wannabe idiot. Do it for the children, if that's what works for you.
