Not that it should come as any surprise, but the Brady Campaign to Lie Through Their Teeth can't seem to understand a basic concept, nor can they be bothered to quote us correctly.

In their latest post (one not involving dead children, which might explain the more bitter than usual tone of voice. I mean, it's got to be upsetting when you can't parade around the corpse of a preschooler and your donations drop), some idiot gets tipsy and carries into a bar.

However, Duluth defense attorney Richard Holmstrom, who is representing Gradishar on the charge, said his client committed no crime. “Where the incident occurred, he was outside the scope of the conceal and carry law,’’ Holmstrom said. “He was in his own business and you’re entitled to have a firearm in your own business. It has nothing to do with conceal and carry. The alcohol restrictions do not apply.’’

Doesn't matter. If you're too intoxicated to drive, you should not have a firearm on your possession, period. Us gunnies know that, we preach that all the time. Sure we all disagree what the limit is, but you're not going to find too many of us spouting off that it's perfectly ok to be 3 dryer sheets to the wind and waving about a pistol.

But, the Brady's, being compulsive liars, want to paint the impression that we're not only ok with it, but that we turn a blind eye

No, this is the gun owner that the Brady Campaign to Take Pleasure from Donations Garnered from Dead Kids likes to talk about while missing the point entirely.

By and large, CCW holders are more law abiding percentage wise than those without CCWs. There are always assholes who screw up. Just because a black man holds up a liquor store doesn't mean all blacks are thieves. Just don't let the bigots at the Brady Campaign to Manufacture Bullshit by the Metric Ton know that. They fear that blacks and minorities might be able to defend themselves and you can't let the darkies get all uppity, can you Paul?

Now, back to Mr. strip club idiot. He's a schmuck for carrying while intoxicated. Once he did that, he's no longer one of those "law abiding" anything, gun owner or no. In fact, nobody claims that gun owners are law abiding, rather that generally CCW holders are more law abiding than the average. And one story (hell, a thousand stories) is statistical noise.

Funny though, that the gun didn't kill anyone, especially after forcing its owner to get plastered. Isn't that the type of scenario of drunken rednecks with guns the Brady's tell us happen every 15 seconds?
