The Brady Campaign for Rolling In The Blood Of Downed Officers asks a simple question.
What remains left to discover is whether Berryman’s history of domestic violence had ever been adjudicated. If so, it should have been in the Brady criminal background check system, and he should have been denied legal purchase of a firearm.
Who put the gun in Berryman’s hand?
Easy. Berryman did. Berryman picked up the firearm. It was Berryman's finger that pulled the trigger. It was Berryman who made each and every decision that lead up to this horrific event. And for that, the person to blame is... (wait for it... wait for it...) Berryman. Not Gun Manufacturer X. Not Bob's Used Guns and Blenders. Not the local Ford dealer that sold him his truck (which he used to commit this crime). Nope. Just Berryman.
Of course, they tout how effective their system is by pointing to how spectacularly it fails. Funny how people who aren't supposed to have a gun still manage to find ways to get them without going through the Brady Campaign to Disseminate Falsehoods' useless checks.
You know what the Brady Checks are like? They're like that old lady at Wal-Mart who stands by the door with a yellow hi-liter trying to check if you really did buy the 400 count Tampons. It hassles the legitimate shoppers while doing nothing at all to curb theft.
