Updated: There was a bug that would cause the game to crash on load (it was looking for a file that didn't exist). It's been fixed so please redownload it if you've had problems.

Georgia loves playing games online and she loves playing memory games (she usually creams me when I play). So, I spent about 3 hours and wrote her a game she can play any time.

Memory Match (yeah, real original, I know) is a simple, easy to learn game you can play yourself, or if you have kids, you might let them try as well. There's no scoring or any timer so kids won't get frustrated.

It's easy to play. You just click on a card to flip it over, then click on another to see if you have a match.

I did all the programming, and most of the graphics although they're pretty much Photoshop presets.

Since I did this in about 3 hours total, there's bound to be some bugs somewhere, but so far Georgia has played a dozen games or so and I've heard no complaints from here.

To run this, you will need a Windows PC with the .Net 3.5 runtime installed.

You can download the application here, absolutely free. I'll release the source code soon, I promise!

Please let me know if you have any questions or problems running the game. Thanks!

Cool game.

How about a multiplication table, division table, or a fractions memory game?

I plan on making a few more. My oldest can already read, so I could focus on the math.

Something simple like "Using the Greenhill formula, what would be the most effective twist rate for a .40 caliber bullet with a length of 12mm"?

Great...now my little girls are crying!!
I hope you know how much you just torn their little hearts out!
I had built this game up for hours! Taughting them and saying 'If you clean up your rooms, we can play Memory Match!! Eat the dog food, and we can play MemoryMatch!

Now I have clean rooms and crying girls....

I hate you MemoryMatch.
I hate you.

Stacy, I'm a .Net programmer by trade. In all things Microsoft, .Net is the one thing they've gotten right.

Sphinc, make sure you a) do not run it from inside the .Zip (extract it first) and b) make sure you have .Net 3.5, not just 3.0.

And punch yourself in the nuts. It won't help the game, but I'll feel better.
