"Unlicensed dealers". That's like saying "unlicensed cooks". Anyone can cook a meal without needing a restaurant license. Anyone can sell a firearm that they own personally without a license. These lying bigots make it seem like there are entire stores that sell without a check. It's a lie, and they know it. They just repeat it over and over and hope it sticks.

A 1993 federal law requires people seeking to buy firearms at gun shops and other licensed businesses such as pawnshops to undergo background checks. But a loophole allows them to buy guns from unlicensed dealers at gun shows, Lautenberg’s office said.

Supporters say that loophole allows convicted felons, fugitives, domestic abusers, and others who would fail the background checks to still purchase firearms.

And yet they cannot provide actual cases of this happening in any respectable number.

I'd get all angry over this, but it'd be like getting mad at a fish for not sewing a nice hammock. You shouldn't expect it.
