I'm talking about Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

I tivoed the first show and ended up watching them both back to back last night. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought the "Little Hottie as a Terminator" would be stupid and was thoroughly expecting to enjoy it about as much as Bionic Woman, but alas it was pretty good.

Summer Glau actually pulls off the terminator albeit a little on the cliche side. I didn't get why she was able to act totally human when she first met John but then turned animatronic after the first battle. Then again, I had girlfriends like that when I was younger, so that part is realistic. However, if John actually has sex with her, I'm giving up on the show and that's a promise.

It's good enough for me to want to watch again. However, I had the unfortunate luck of watching it in "real time" last night. Commercials suck.

So far, I like it more than I thought I would. A good job casting and a great job on sfx. I noticed the big difference in her acting as well but I can over look it.

My only issue with the show is that it will compete with Heroes for the Monday 9pm spot. Guess it's time to join the modern world and get a TiVo.

When can I get an isotope upper for my AR?

You're much more forgiving of that show that I was I guess. It must be the engineer in me.

The fact that they started with Summer acting all human and personable at the start, completely contrary to how any other terminator behaved in any movies, including the third which took place after this series, looked like a hint about what kind of consistency to expect in the script writing. The glib "Class is dismissed" from the first terminator was a bit much too.

The action scenes looked fantastic. But I just can't bring myself to watch a show that is supposed to occur between two movies that proceeds to ignore things established in those movies.

I watched parts of it, and it alternately seemed hokey and awesome.

Then I watched Commanche Moon, the Lonesome Dove prequel. It was FANTASTIC. All these guys running around with period correct muzzleloaders.

AWESOME.

Summer Glau kicking ass is awesome, pure and simple. I would not go so far as to say that her doing so in Serenity was the highlight of the movie, but it was pretty far up the list.

That said, I despised Enterprise for its flagrant and idiotic disregard for any and all of the story milposts set down by Roddenberry... Something tells me I will not like this Terminator series for the same reason. Something of a shame, too, since it could have been pretty awesome.

I sure hope John Connor gets over being a whiny emo pussy...

JH, he must if he becomes a great leader. Which, if you think about it, is all the Machines' fault. If they didn't come back and attack him all the time, his mother would have never had to teach him to be militaristic, and hence he'd have not been a problem.

Paradoxes suck!
