Lap sweat is a big problem. So is the fact that my right arm has to rest on Bueller's butt.
Update: And now a completely new way to view the term "Arm Rest"

My oldest cat Eloise always puts her butt right on my hand that's holding the computer mouse. I think she thinks she's being helpful.

Try it with a 65 pound mutt on your lap.

Kitties don't like it when they are not the center of your attention ... when they want it. Heh. My kitty likes to jump up on the desk when I least expect it, usually when I am studying.

Multiply that x7 and you have my house. When sitting on my couch w/ the laptop. I usually have one on one arm, one leaning against the other and one or two on my lap.

Breda, that's dangerously close to making me want to start another infinite cat project.Sailor Curt - I used to have an American Bulldog who, still as a puppy, weighed 90 pounds. And ate couches. It was always fun trying to type while she nuzzled my arm for attention.

I agree, the nuzzling is the worst. I can deal with the 65 pound lap ornament for a while, but when I'm trying to type and my arm keeps getting batted around the keyboard, it's just downright annoying. We actually have a 75 pound black lab/pit bull mix as well, but she isn't as much of a lap dog as the mutt. He just loves to be loved on.

Try three, I have my Old Tiger Girl, Beside me, Oreo on my lap, and her brother fighting to push her out so he can take over. Usually a fight starts. But you have to love them….
