Weekend fun

Took the girls to a train museum yesterday. You get to take a train ride to a "pumpkin patch" and they had a hay ride and face painting. It was cheesy, but the girls had a great time and that's what counts.

Bottom to top - Georgia, Irelyn, & Daddy

I wonder if either of my girls will get my skin coloring. I was lighter as a child, but as I got older I kept getting darker and darker. The joys of being from a mixed marriage!

I don't know about the melanin, but they certainly have your eyes. Lovely family =)

The wife and I were discussing that last night.

We don't think the girls look similar at all. You can tell my wife and her 3 brothers are related. I'm an only child so I don't count. But I don't think the girls resemble one another.

These are the most precious days of your life. It is difficult to know or bear that in mind when trying to feed, house, clothe and educate them. But you will never look back on anything you ever achieve or accomplish that you will remember in later years with the same intense gratitude that you will hold for these times.

I envy you only in that those times are behind me, I have those memories.

God bless you and yours. You should always revel in your good fortune.

I suspect you don't need me to tell you this. But, as I said I have some little envy, simply because I can never be there again. Although there is a Hell of a lot to be said for grandchildren and great grandchildren.

I guess this sentimental crap I am indulging in is a "thank you" for touching a chord of memory in me that brings me joy.

Looks like you got dealt a good hand, at least esthetically, when your Mom and Dad cut the genetic cards and shuffled the decks. Tall dark and handsome is a cliche for a good reason. Pale blond guys are always cast as crazy bad guys in movies. I write as a pale blue-eyed person with dark hair. People adducing irrelevant homo tendencies in me can go pound sand.
