I absolutely hate Lio (because it's, IMO, never really funny, just usually stupid), but that was actually good.

I think Lio is great! It's so original and like nothing else on the comics page!
I suppose when The Far Side first came out, there we a lot of folks who didn't get it because it was different. Lio falls into this category and I'm sure this stand out comic strip will go down in comics history as one of the greats! Brilliant. Too bad you don't get it. You're really missing something.
