Being "against violence" is a silly concept I think. Who *isn't* against unnecessary violence? Madmen? Lunatics?

Apparently, there are many people out there who honestly believe that gun ownership makes you automatically a violent person. It's sad that you have to tell people you don't approve of violence any more than anyone else.

But then again, you have to tell people not to use a hair drier in the shower.

Using a hair drier in the shower is as useless as cleaning the house before the kids move out, even aside from the safety issue.
