Sorry, but if Giuliani, McCain and Romney are the best the Republikans can offer, then they suck as much as the Demokrats.

From a dyed in the wool Reagan Republican, I'll be voting Libertarian as a protest unless the party gets its act together.

I miss the Reagan years!

SE, we're in deep shit these days. The Republicans are democrats in elephant's clothing, the democrats are communists / socialists in the shape of an ass, the Greens are two fries short of a happy meal, and if you legalized marijuana the Libertarians would be too stoned to give a leaping f*ck about politics anymore.

Politics has become a power game that I wonder if we'll ever get back into any semblance of control.

I want a culture of self-reliance. I want the government to pave the roads, keep the market playing field level (not fair, level), bomb the living hell out of our enemies, and dispense justice. I don't want them poking their nose into where I poke my pecker, keeping tabs on what my salary is, telling me what guns look too scary for them, passing laws to stifle my speech, busting down my door without knocking, taking my money and giving it to someone else, etc. etc. etc (there's more, but my computer has only 1 gig of memory and I'd run out before I could finish).

I miss Regan too. He had some flaws, but they were smoothed over by him being utterly human instead of the plastic, life sized Barbies and Kens we've got running around these days.
