It's the law!

Apparently (and this is something I missed last voting session) it is a constitutional mandate that all poll workers smell like mothballs.

And have bad vision.

So funny that you would say that. When I went in to vote this morning I got into an argument with one of the poll workers about what identification was required in order to vote - and he was BLIND!

Seriously, he had dark sunglasses on and a blind cane sitting beside him. Luckily he wasn't the one checking my ID... though to be honest I have no idea what the hell his job was.

At any rate, I made them pull out the rule book (a.k.a. - Ohio Voting Laws) and they validated that I was correct. In Ohio, if the picture & name on your state issued ID (drivers license) match the district's registration book then the ID's address does NOT have to be your current address.

Oh... and they didn't have any of the "I Voted Today!" stickers. WTF?!? Half the reason I went was for the swag!

I'm pretty sure the guy checking ids at my San Diego poll had the bird flu. Coughing, sneezing into a rag and licking his fingers to move pages.
