The Mrs. finally, after 7 years together, let me take her to the range. I brought a 9mm, a .22 rifle, a .357 Magnum (loaded with .38 specials), and a .40 Glock 27. I started her up with the .22 rifle. She did fantastic. 2nd shot was a bullseye, and she managed to put a rather large amount of the rounds close together.
Then we switched to the 9mm. This was a little more of a challenge for her as a 9mm has slightly more kick than a .22, and being a pistol it scared her a little. But she managed to go through a few clips without any serious injury (I can't say as much for the target).

The .357 was a no-go. The pistol is way to large for her hands and too heavy of an action for her to be able to use. She couldn't even cock the hammer without putting it down. She managed one shot of a .38, and that was about it. I had her hold off on the .40 - no need for her to try to handle something like that for her first try.
The range we go to sucks. There was no air so I was a puddle of sweat within minutes. Plus nothing cleared the smoke out so it 'fogged' up on occasion. While Kari didn't shoot a lot, it was definitely a good session. How do I know this?
She wants to go back!
