This morning I walked into the building with two dozen donuts and beer. Both free.
My ticker-tape parade starts at 4:00.

Donuts and beer? And if the donuts were not warm Krispy Kremes, I don't understand why they would give a parade. Those Dunkin things only rate a pat on the back and a willingness to clean up your crumbs.

By the way, "donuts & beer" sounds like an odd combination. Does one dunk? Does one consume them together, or in sequence after swilling one's mouth out with water? Mind you, the first order of business would be to demonstrate wonder and gratitude. Your consideration of your co-workers does you credit, sir.T&T

Further note:I had friends over for sausages in sauerkraut and fried apples. I have not yet been able to acquire a taste for beer myself, but I found a light German brew called "Spaten", no umlaut over the "a", at the local wine shop, and it was perfect with dinner. I wondered if you had come across that particular brand in your tasting, what your opinion of it is, and how you might compare it to your own products.Cheers!T&T

Billy - The donuts were handmade, gourmet donuts from a local place (Brookhaven). I cannot even begin to explain how #%*@! delicious thay are. The make DD and KK donuts look like dog turds with glaze. The beer was homemade.T&T - What kind of spaten? Spaten Optimator? Pils? Spaten Franziskaner Bräu is a brewery so Spaten (meaning spade in german) isn't a type of beer, but rather a brand. They make several kinds. I'm assuming you had a lighter beer, so it could have been one of their wheats or the pils (although lighter in color, a pilsner has a heavier flavor than the wheats).German beers are heavier in flavor than American mass. More flavor is what I like about homebrews as well as microbrews. That's about the only comparison I can make. My stuff tends to have good, strong flavors, the exception being this wheat - it's light and crisp.
