Life update (as in, what I'm up to)

Here’s all the major things I’m working on in life right now

Putting together a wedding album
Shooting a wedding this weekend (10 in the next 3 months, plus 3 engagement sessions)
Slogging it out with a cold
Learning Español
Trying like hell to not break Subtext
Talking my wife into getting new cell phones
Work. Work. Work.

Well, let's see. 1) The wife and kids (3y & 10mos) just got back from a six week trip to Japan to take care of her father who's been diagnosed with lung cancer. (Chemo is going really well, shrinking the tumors a lot plus no bad side effects other than hair loss). So that's taking a bunch of time.2) Still trying to find a job in Colorado that will pay to move me from California.3) Have about 300ft of metal fence I need to paint. Its taking an hour to paint 2 or 3 feet, so this will take some time.4) Need to organize the digital baby pictures from the last three years. I want to make a web-page photo album on CD, including thumbnail pages and captions. Don't have a lot of time.5) Still have a ton (literally) of dirt to move from one side of the house to the other after terracing a hill side.All in all, I'd say a light schedule.

I'm kicking back, eating home-made Beef Lo Mein, sucking down a brewski, pondering which CD to play next, surfing the 'Net, not really worrying about going to bed real soon 'cos I don't have to get up early tomorrow, listening to the tropical bugs cheeping comfortingly outside my window and marvelling that at 1.20 am it's still 70 degrees outside. Life's a bitch.
