Here in south-central MD, we've got one worthless Lowes, one worthless Home Depot, and one where you can actually, with persistence and no small grain of luck, actually find somebody who knows what they're talking about -- I've had some bad (amateur) ideas, and been corrected by the staff. When one of them demonstrated an easy familiarity with the stuff they sell, I was so shocked I actually stood speechless for five or ten seconds before mumbling, "Good idea. Thanks."

Interesting...
The Lowe's in Spokane has top-notch staff; I've never been steered wrong, everything they've suggested has worked, and there is always someone knowledgeable/helpful within a buzzer call.

Then again, it was originally an Eagle Hardware taken over within the last 4 years...probably at least half the workforce continued to work there after the handover?

the reason for no help or knowledge is they let older employer go and hire in part time people so no benif. has to be paid. they work you to death and then cut you back. they say they beleive in family and god but that is a lie. manag. told employee that he did not care if you wanted to go to church that was your promble. how can these places keep this up with out some help from some one? the people at home office look out for there self and not the employee.
