# Our New Political Party: The Republicrats - Dummocrats

Sharp as a Marble comes up with this perfect graphic to represent our new political party, the Republicrats: I know it's cynical of me, but I gotta agree with the sentiment that, right now, there's not a lot of difference...

I'm with you, mate. I got so ticked off a few years ago that I realized I must be a libertarian (both with and without capitalization).

If you guys think there is no difference in our parties today, then you would really tweak out if you existed in the beginning days of our country.

I am not sure if you are looking for an extreme right and an extreme left type party to associate with, but the system we have now is a really confusing and messy system. And it is what I like.

You see, our parties may not be too different in ideologies, but they are extremely different in actions and results.

One party is for the wealthy, elite corporate CEOs. It is for the destruction of the power of the working man and is for oppressing those who they feel does not fit their "survival of the fittest" lifestyle. They are the party that caused the Great Depression and are shoving us into another one by piling up debt like we have never seen before. They are the party that are trying to destroy our saftey net of programs created by their opposition.

The other party is the party of the people, the blue collared, working man. They are the party of strong Foreign policy, despite what their opposition says. They won both world wars and also toppled many other military conflicts. This party is the party that created Social Security, Welfare, Medicare, etc. This is the party that places the priorites of the country and people above thier special interests and greedy agendas.

These parties are very much different, not from ideologies, but from actions. What you people want is another party, not because the two leaders are too similar, but because they do not represent your ideas. Do not get that confused.

Traditional Democrats that relate to FDR, Truman, JFK, etc are the greatest people in the world. But once they gain power, then corrupt bitch ass Republicans join the party just so they can get elected, then they give us a bad name. Why am I ranting now? I dunno.

One final point though, I recommend someone do a report on Robert C. Byrd. If not for class, then do it for yourself or friends. This man is the last living "Patriot". My kind of Democrat. He is intelligent, honorable and understands that he must preserve our constitution and secure the power of this country. He works for the people, not the powerful.

Robert C. Byrd...before you bash him, before you judge him from what the neoconservatives say, do some research on him. Read his speeches, learn what he has accomplished through his many years in office.

Jer, are there any, you know, facts, you want to contribute to the conversation? You buried the most important part of your tirade:

This party is the party that created Social Security, Welfare, Medicare, etc.

That said, anybody who endorses Bob "Sheets" Byrd has my undivided attention -- the way you can't help looking at the crazy guy preaching to the pigeons.

Wow...you amaze me. Let's discuss who contribute thoughts and ideas instead of one-liners which could have been kept off the net; thus saving space, time and energy.

Ol' "sheets" is my kind of man. Before dumbarse Republicans come to the south and start preachin' "sheets" they need to understand that that are in the South . They come to WV and say, "Bob Byrd is a racist! Do not vote for him." And it all backfires in their face. While some people relate Strom Thurmond to Robert C. Byrd, their is one huge difference. Thurmond was an idiot, possibly pure evil. And Byrd is a genius, a honorable man and has contributed more than any other Senator in the past 30 years.

Yeah, Ol "sheets". Great man. I guess people like you, who never look beyond a party label, will never see. Blindness has a chokehold on you.

Umm, Bobby was a lead member of the KKK. You don't become a Grand Dragon by preaching tolerance.

And you my friend are the one blinded by your party. Notice the graphic there bud? Notice how I think both parties are full of shit?

But keep on believing the Democratic party cares about you and 'the common man'. They need fools to keep them afloat.
