Aw, you poor thing, and I'm sorry I giggled LOL

I got some pet hermit crabs when we travelled to Florida when I was young. We were bit by a few until we figured we should pick them up by the back part of their shell. But my mother wanted to make sure they weren't agressive biters, so we'd stick our fingers in front of their pinchers to see if they went after us.

We finally got two that wouldn't try to bite, and I named them Ralph and Knucklehead. I had them for five or six years, having to give them bigger shells to crawl into when they outgrew their current shells.

I took them to high school for a social experiment class "present anything you want" thing. Most of the girls thought Ralph and Knucklehead were gross, but the boys were all around me while we had hermit crab races. Some of the girls joined in when they saw all the boys were into them LOL
