The truly amazing thing is that (in a very limited sense indeed) your title is actually true.
When the WHO and the American Cancer Society both did metastudies on the effects of passive smoking back in the late 1990’s they were rather puzzled that there is a paper out there that shows that smoking by parents (and thus expeosure to second hand smoke by children) actually reduces future lung cancer rates in those children.
Odd, I know, but that’s what they found.
