John Cole seems to have benefited from a sleep test. This is very heartening for me since I've got an appointment in Feb. with a doctor to look at my sleeping problem.
My problem is that I can't get enough sleep. I can sleep 12 hours and feel like shit. I get 8+ hours every night and I can barely function sometimes. I've often fallen asleep driving home from work. If I don't constantly move, it's likely that I'll fall asleep.
I also get headaches. Constantly. 2 or 3 a week, most often on weekends. It's said that sleep apnea can cause them. Add the fact that my brain chemicals are all out of whack and my panic disorder and I'm pretty groggy and grumpy a lot. It's also said that heartburn can be caused by it too.
My wife has to kick me out of the room for snoring quite a bit. I toss and turn and wake up often throughout the night. While I don't recall waking up gasping for air, it's possible I do.
The odd thing is that so many of the symptoms I have I've always attributed to just getting older. I'm hoping and praying that everything is actually caused by the lack of quality sleep and that I can change my life back to the good old days where 9:30 wasn't considered a 'late night'.
Anyone else have any experience in this?
