Thunderbird is supposed to work with MSExchange. One of the gotchas is not really an Exchange gotcha but a common problem with T-Bird users. If the username/password is changed, the password manager in T-Bird (which is not exactly intuitive in use) needs to be... managed.

If you have relied heavily on Outlook's rules for managing mail, you'll find T-Bird's implementation of rules to be clumsy, but barely workable.

T-Bird also has problems importing more than one Outlook/Exchange addressbook. The only way I've been able to do it is to move addressbooks so that only ONE is in the default location expected by T-Bird. Then cycle out addressbook I've imported and place a new one to import at the default location. A pain, but it's allowed me to finally dump Outlook, in spite of this and a few other quirks (like, available calendar plugins don't work with 1.0 [sigh]).

Irrelevant note: Internet Exploder, though, was dumped years ago for Opera (and no, Firebird is not an improvement on Opera)
