Sharp as a Marble

He didn't make it. I just buried him in our back yard. Hudson had a heart condition that was probably incurable and it finally claimed his life.

He was the very first cat / animal I ever owned on my own and kept me company for 8 years. The vet described him as the most docile animal he'd seen in a long time and I'd have to agree. Hudson would put up with anything for a scratching or a belly rub. He also had the most interesting meow that was almost a stutter. My daughter's first word was kitty because of him.

He will be missed dearly by my entire family.

Thank you for all the support. SaaM will be silent for a few days as I focus on my family.

- Robb

Thanks, Maura. It is very appreciated.

I am so sorry. Tears for you and yours today. Hudson will always be a part of the family. It was a good exchange of love, one for another. Wait a bit, and welcome a new one again. It won't replace Hudson, but will remind you of how great he was.

So sorry. We recently lost our dog and it was much more difficult than we ever could have guessed. It hurts, then it hurts some more and then it slowly gets better.

Hang in there.

Thanks to all. This is a very rough time for us as Hudson was just a few days ago running around the house with the dog. Unexepected, especially since he should have had quite a few more years in him.

Not planning on replacing him any time soon. We have Bueller as well who, even though I love him dearly, is no Hudson. I've yet to meet another cat like him.

Again, thanks to all. It's odd using the internet and blogosphere for comfort, but surprisingly it helps.

Bye Hudson. It's so hard to lose a pet. Take care and know that surely you'll see him again someday...

I remember how much it hurts, but please take comfort in your memories of the love he gave and received.

I am very sorry to learn of your loss. This is the first time I have ever read your blog, and I don't even know you, but I know of the pain of losing a pet and please know that you have my sympathy.

As Brian said, you do have your memories of the love shared between you and Hudson.

I'm sorry to hear of Hudson's death. It's always sad and painful when pets die. I hope you will take some comfort in knowing that you gave Hudson a good life, and in the love you shared.
