Aw, c'mon, that was funny! A little play on the topic of the day, just to get a couple laffs, it's not a bad thing. Heck, I saw the Harvard Cheerleaders for Truth thing, too, don't remember where, but THAT was funny as well.

And being on the right myself, I'd just as soon not have this whole Swifty thing swirling around, but the simple truth is, the candidate made this service the cornerstone of his run for the office. Nobody else did; he did. His actions after coming home earned him the ire of a generation of vets, and you can't blame that on the vets that still carry the scars of his bogus testimony from way-back-when.

I'd prefer it to be about issues; performance; proven ability...the kinds of things a guy can make a decision on. Emotions are for regular life. Important decisions, such as who will I choose to lead my nation in a time of peril, call for cool thinking and pondering on the facts.

I've seen what Bush has done since the war was brought to us. I have yet to see his challenger rise to the level I, personally, would expect the CinC to play at. Vagueness is not a quality I want in the leader of the free world at this moment in time. I want my kids to be safe, and free, and not have their lives ever interrupted again by animals whose mission in life is to kill as many 'infidels' as they can.

Wow. Where the heck did that come from? Sorry, man.
