Broke down and got a Tivo today. For free..... Best Buy had it marked (apparently incorrectly) for $99 with a $100 mail in rebate, so that math was pretty easy to do. I should have bought them all then resold them on eBay for a tidy profit but I didn't think about that until right now.

Damn.

Anyway, I'm having a terrible time using my phone line to do the full download of the data that I need. I use Vonage VOIP for my phone service so using a modem across is isn't a great idea.

Maybe by next week I'll have the damn thing finally configured and can watch tv again.
