Holy mother of pearl! I can't read a single blog where people aren't complaining about some device that Kerry may have worn incorrectly or how his purple heart was only for a scratch or that boat 93 wasn't really facing north but north by northwest. Give it up already.
I agree the Swifties have a bone to pick, fine. Let them do so. But blogging incessantly about it isn't going to help. There are other issues out there that need addressing and neither side is doing it.
I do not care for Kerry, as both of my long time readers should know, but I don't care for him for more reasons that Viet Nam. Why can't we be discussing his lackluster career as a senator? What about his health care plans? What about Bush's plans? Dammit, I've got voting I have to get to and all I hear is sniping about what happened 30 years ago.
- I don't think Kerry's UN centric approach to national security is valid.
- I disagree that it's the government's job to provide health care. I believe it's the government's job to ensure that health care providers are respecting our basic rights. Period.
- My taxes are too high already. I don't want them put back where they were. Fix the leaks in the pipe, don't increase the flow of water.
- George W. Bush's limp wristed handling of the war on terror is bad enough (Sadr is sitting in a hooka bar right now laughing it up instead of staring at the bottom side of 6 feet of dirt). I don't see how Kerry is going to make it any better.
- While I'm rather pissed at what we call the Republicans these days, I'm not willing to risk the lives of my fellow Americans to prove a point by sending them a wake up call. I can do that over the next 4 years.
- The 5 things Spoons points out are on my list as well.
Campaign Finance Reform, Assault Weapons Ban, illegal immigration, affirmative action, and the War on Terror. Bush supports the first four which I do not. Will John Kerry? If he doesn't he might win over my vote, but I seriously doubt it.
Bush has so many flaws to exploit, but all Kerry can do it talk about Nam. Let Kerry and the Swifties battle that out, let the blogosphere talk about what's important ok?
