Overheard at Work by a Rabid Bush Hater

I mean, George Bush's idea of improving the economy is for everyone to buy more houses or cars. How's that "helping"?

I had to bite my tongue to the point of getting up and dropping by someone else's cube. They're still in there bitching about poll numbers and how they're skewed because Bush is rigging the numbers to make himself look better.

The funniest thing? When they talk of Kerry the only positive thing they can say about him is that he's not Bush.

Sigh....

Someone gave me a great suggestion the other day. When you ask a bush-hater/kerry supporter why they're going to vote for kerry, tell them they're not allowed to mention his opponent, either directly or indirectly in their argument.

I asked one of them why they were voting Kerry and the response was "he's not Bush".

There is no other reason. Their hatred has reached the point where logic makes no sense.

What I don't understand is that these guys aren't "hippies". They're average working Joes like me. I don't like Kerry, but I don't hate him. I don't think he's worse than Hitler. I don't think he'd be serious enough to continue the WoT and he'd raise my taxes hence I won't vote for him.

I just don't understand the hate.
