I never realized taking pictures could make one sore. My legs are aching and my right arm is killing me. You don't realize how heavy a camera is until you hold it for 8 hours.
All in all I had a great time. It is a weird feeling to go to a wedding as a job and not for the party. I stayed fairly out of sight and didn't get too many people posing. Nothing kills the photojournalistic feel more than someone copping a huge smile.
I did get to work with some of the formal shots, however I wasn't the primary photographer for that so none of them were posed for my point of view. A few of them turned out fine though.
I still have a little to learn about color casts. Since I used bounce light more often than direct flash, a lot of my pictures turned orange due to the paint on the walls. I need to remember that next time. Since it's digital and in RAW format, they can always be corrected later, but that takes time and I'd rather deliver the shots in a ready-to-use format.
I'll turn in the photos after work today to Argoe and pick up my check. I'll let them tell me what needs to be improved and learn from that as well. It feels good to work for myself!
