This is simply disgusting

I'm trying to do my part to expose this travesty. The Hooters in Lakeland, Florida is having a contest {from Sekimori}

The contest is for girls 5 and under, and will require they be dressed in little orange spandex shorts, and a tied up Hooters t-shirt.

Simply disgusting. Please let Hooters know how you feel about this stunt.

I received an email back from Hooters.

Thank you for expressing your concern regarding the contest in Florida. A store manager decided to host an event for the employee’s children which is not a part of Hooters National Marketing promotions, and has been cancelled.

I have read a very disturbing story on the Internet regarding a publicity stunt that one of your franchises in Lakeland, Florida is trying to pull off.

Your waitresses voluntarily choose to wear their uniforms and on the surface this is "delightfully tacky". A contest to dress up girls under 5 years old has crossed the line from tacky to tasteless. As a father of a little girl, I do not find this sort of stunt to go along with your 'family friendly' atmosphere and would not feel comfortable taking my daughter to your restaurants knowing this type of activity is allowed to happen.

Again, I take no offense at the way your business is run, but to try to have a pseudo-beauty pageant where small children are required to wear revealing clothing is beyond the pale. I am sorry to say that Hooters is no longer a restaurant I care to patronize.
