I have to agree. My 5 year old seems to have better long-term planning skills than the current congress.

She's right when she says that "winning" the conflict du jour has become more important than the health and well-being of the economy. Where she is wrong is in the assumption that anything else is possible. It's over. All that is left is the rearranging of deck chairs until the final icy plunge into chaos.
