I think that we, as gun owners, can apply enough heat to legislators to keep them from passing gun control. We cannot stop now, we must continue to expend a lot of time, money, and energy in doing so, but I think in that particular battle, we will be successful. There’s nothing like a few thousand, pissed off gun owners calling you at all hours of the day to put the fear of God into you.
What I fear is that Obama has much more leverage to do crap like this
President Obama plans to ally himself with big business once again by using crony capitalist tactics to pass gun control just as he used them to pass Obamacare. In this case, Obama reportedly plans to make sure that the new gun control law benefits big businesses that sell weapons.
“[T]he White House is developing strategies to work around the National Rifle Association that one source said could include rallying support from Wal-Mart and other gun retailers for measures that would benefit their businesses,” The Washington Post reports.
With Obamacare threatening to kill off any growth, it only takes a ‘favor’ or a ‘waiver’ here and there to get larger businesses in line. Those businesses are more than happy to protect their bottom line by agreeing to behind the scenes deals that crush their competition and keep them top on the rent-seeking ladder. This is the essence of Crony-Capitalism that is Obama’s signature style.
We can focus on a few legislators, what we cannot do is focus on every single business that is hurting because of Obama’s policies. Obama has the leverage to tell the big retailers that if they go along with his schemes, they will be well rewarded with reduced punishment.
And that, my friends, is what keeps me up at night.

Focus on the legislators.
Meanwhile, we're all dumping money into all the lobbying organizations over and above what we already would have given them, so they can try to save our rights. Does this money go directly to the Obamanoids?
This.

The various entertainment and media industries are already quite friendly to Obama, but he can turn up the heat by saying "I'll either ban them or you."

They might decide they don't want your business someday.
