There comes a time when even the most computer literate of us make dumb mistakes. For example, when I installed Vista I repartitioned my hard drive so I could dual boot. But I only gave it 20 gigs of space. Which I ran out of real quick like.
Silly me thought I could just move my user data somewhere else. I'm sure you can do it, but I didn't do it right.
So I reinstalled. Pretty easy. I think I'm one of only 7 people in the world who's install of Vista is actually nice and pain free.
Since I use Mozilla products, I was able to back up everything and had 0 problems transferring everything back (including cookies, plug ins, etc). Over the years I've grown accustomed to reinstalls and learned quickly that all data is kept on different drives so that wiping a C: drive clean won't erase anything you need.
And I did just fine with the small exception of my iTunes downloads of Battlestar Galactica season 3. Which I wasn't finished with yet. And Apple, bless their little thieving, cold, black hearts, won't allow you to redownload your purchases.
So I'm going to have to buy them again, I guess. At least it's only 4 or 5 episodes.
Other than that, I'm back! Yay!
