Man decapitates his mother with an ax The woman found murdered in Oldsmar on New Year's Eve was decapitated by her son with an ax, authorities said Thursday. Maria Suarez-Cassagne, 48, was found dead by another son Wednesday night and called authorities. Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said Christian Gomez attacked Cassagne after becoming upset when she asked him to put away some boxes. "He was upset because his mother for the last couple of days had been trying to get him to put these...

Practically anything. Even butter knives when applied with enough force.

I hesitate to write this article because I don’t want to appear to ‘blood dance’. This is not my intention. In China, a guy stabs a child to death, injuring two others Han Li, a propaganda official for Yiyang county, said Friday that a villager armed with a knife slashed the three children in Luojia village while they were returning home from school for the noon break. What’s worse is this is becoming an issue China has seen a string of attacks on children in recent years by culprits often...

Weerd has a story that is more common than gun banners want to admit.

It is said time and time again by anti-gun forces that no person should ever shoot someone who is simply punching you. Because a single punch can never kill anyone, right? A violent thug who killed a vulnerable man with a single punch during a row over a bicycle could have his sentence extended following an investigation by the Attorney General. Watch the video. One. Single. Punch. It’s a sucker punch, nothing having a gun on hand would have had prevented, but it does clearly show how deadly...

It’s a thin line posting this as I don’t want to appear to be a blood dancer, but the anti-gun forces tell us constantly that mass murder (and they tend to define ‘mass’ as “any positive integer”) only happens with guns because guns make it easy to kill. This is why that point of view is complete bunk. Evil exists in this world. It’s not created by, nor is it limited to a specific tool. We do not protect our society by pretending somehow, if we can only prevent the wrong tools from being...

Another senseless murder Clearwater Police announced the arrest of 16-year-old Mychal King on Thursday.  He is accused in the January murder of Jason Taylor Paul, the city's first homicide of 2013. Police said King admitted to killing Paul for no reason other than he had a hard day with his family that night of January 6, and "just wanted to kill the first person he saw." Just pissed off, bored, and decided to pick a victim and stab them to death. 16 years old. Let that sink in for a...

Otherwise the dead cabbie would have been worse off A cabby died a gruesome death in Brooklyn yesterday when a passenger fatally stabbed him through the eye with an umbrella during a robbery, law-enforcement sources said. Someone should tell the cabbie how lucky he was that he wasn’t shot with a gun (granted, you’re going to need a Ouija board to do so). You see, when they outlaw guns like they do in NYC, criminals will no longer kill over a few bucks because guns are the only tools used in...

Because I sincerely doubt Juan Valdez intended his finest brew to be used as a weapon When a man tried to rob a Dunkin’ Donuts in Connecticut on Saturday night, an employee acted quickly and stopped him with the closest weapon available -- hot coffee. Normally coffee makes for nothing more than a good drink. Here, it turned into a weapon based on how an individual used it. If the intent of an object was transferrable, then the robber would have simply sipped the java and been slightly more...

On my way to work, there are a few side streets I can take should the roads back up a bit. My detour takes me through some neighborhoods you’re more likely to see in old episodes of Cops than Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. A gentleman was walking his dog this morning, carrying an aluminum baseball bat. It was clear he wasn’t heading over to Jose Conseco’s house to practice and the way he was holding it at the low-ready indicated he intended to use it immediately if needed. As a bat, it was...

Fire is. But what disappoints me is that they don't mention two of the biggest mass murders in American history that were largely ignored by the national media because they did not advance the gun control agenda.  December of 1987 (96 murdered by Hector Escudero in Puerto Rico) and April 1990 (87 murdered by Julio Gonzalez in New York City). But because both were arson murderers, the mainstream media largely ignored these crimes. I’ve said that here repeatedly (and I was basing it on the...

Because they are not unarmed CHICAGO (CBS) – Three teens accused of attacking a man in a West Rogers Park alley and posting video of the fatal beating online were allegedly playing a game called “pick ‘em out and knock ‘em out.” As WBBM Newsradio’s Steve Miller reports, at a bond hearing for two of the suspects, Cook County prosecutors said the youngest of the trio – 16-year-old Malik Jones – was the instigator of the attack. Jones allegedly turned on his cell phone’s video camera before...

But every here and there some idiot pipes up and reminds me that there are people among us who really, honestly, and truly believe tools cause crime. I’m reading this Cracked article about the 8 most wildly irresponsible vintage toys which just shows how far we’ve fallen as a species, for the most part. I get the surprise at the radiation kit, we really didn’t know how dangerous it could be (mostly, don’t swallow the radium and you’d be fine) but the PSH over some of the others is just sad. ...

This would have never happened That's when Giancola went to a group home for the hearing impaired and stabbed four people, authorities said. … Shortly afterward, Giancola went to the Kenvins Motel in the nearby city of Pinellas Park, where he attacked the married couple who own the motel with a hammer, police say. … Around 11:30 a.m., investigators believe Giancola pulled up in front of a house in Pinellas Park and asked residents where he could find women. The residents told...

Or in this case, the many knifed man This is the astonishing moment a crazed attacker stormed into a supermarket armed with an arsenal of knives including a hockey stick with a blade on the end. David Millington, 37, then launched an attack on a security guard at a Morrisons in Wolverhampton over a grudge he had held since he was seven years old. He went to the supermarket wearing a tool belt that contained kitchen knives and a makeshift shield, the city's crown court heard. The...

17 Year Old kills parents with hammer, throws party Police say that nightmare unfolded Saturday, when 17-year-old Tyler Hadley allegedly attacked his parents with a hammer. By the time it was over, both were dead, having suffered blunt force trauma to the head and torso. Just as shocking as the alleged murders, police say the teen threw a house party just hours after the deaths, with between 40 and 60 people attending, apparently unaware the Hadleys' bodies were behind the locked door...

Even worse, never USE a 3 year old as a weapon. You can ban random objects all you want in a vain attempt to stop violence but people will simply use whatever is at hand. Even if it’s their own child.

Glue Gun Used in Workplace Assault Police in St. John's expect to lay charges in a workplace confrontation that involved an unusual weapon: a glue gun. Notice what they got right here – the glue gun was a weapon. Not because of its design, but its use. Even though the designers of the glue gun intended their product to heat up glue and deliver it via a gentle squeeze of the trigger, intent is non-transferrable and thus someone with ill intent could use it in a nefarious way. Same thing...

Man commits murder… with a snowplow. The other day I posted about a woman, enraged over ice cream, used her vehicle to attempt to kill two people. Now, 99.9% of sane people won’t blame the NSPA (National Snow Plow Association), Henke Manufacturing, The Snow Party, or the lax laws on who can get a snowplow. No, normal, rational people will realize the murderer was at fault. As with Ms. Baskinrobbinsrage, nobody would blame Honda or AAA for making vehicles too easy to purchase or having too...
