It has always been about control. This time, it’s the “scourge of home cooked meals” Folks in the Big Apple are illegally eating things! The CBS affiliate in New York City today uncovered the scary, secret world of illegal, underground dinner parties. No, this is not a joke or a parody, though it will really feel like one for the first few seconds of the clip. The news casters treat this situation with the same slightly amazed and shocked tone that they use when they cover the "underground...

Make it so damned difficult to do that people just give up. Maryland now declares that you must receive strict training before you can even handle a gun. This means you cannot introduce people to shooting unless they take a class (which, being required means people can charge whatever they want). This is why I do not own a suppressor. Paying $800 for a $20 part, requiring legal documents, LEO sign off and ‘stamps’ for what should be something you pick up out of a bin at WalMart is too much...

To protect my family from this. Seriously. Watch this video, but keep anything sharp or shooty away because I’m lucky I was at work when I saw it, otherwise I’d have punched the monitor while screaming. Very little can get me riled up like this, but that’s a direct threat to my children. Claiming that they do not ‘belong’ to me or my wife comes with the implicit understanding that you can just come and pick them up at your leisure. My children are not property, but they are mine to raise as I...

Got a note from a friend of mine here in God’s Waiting Room (aka Florida) about a run in with the popo that her husband had. She wants this story out there for the world to see Dan got pulled over by a statie today because he didn't get over into the middle lane fast enough when passing their vehicles and a car they'd pulled over. The trooper asked Dan if he had a weapon in the car, and of course Dan said, "Yes, I'm a CCW holder and my pistol is locked in the glove compartment." The trooper...

With one even more intrusive and guaranteed to be less effective The government has teamed up with a subcontractor to produce a new laser scanner that can detect "traces of drugs or gun powder on your clothes," says Gizmodo, as well as the egg sandwich you had for breakfast and the adrenaline level in your body — all "without you knowing it." … The new scanner "fires a laser to provide molecular-level feedback" from your body, says Gizmodo. The results show up almost instantly on an attached...

But Larry Correia says is much better As for all of the people out there on the internet having a massive freak out about the government potentially damaging something they love… WELCOME TO THE PARTY. You think this is something new or unusual? Nope. This is just about a topic that you happen to be familiar with. If you fall into that camp, I want you to take a deep breath, step back, and examine all of the other issues in the past that you didn’t know jack squat about, but your knee...

Miguel over at Gun Free Zone has a twitter conversation with one of the Occupy Wall Street goons. What said goon tells him is nothing short than chilling -@anarcosocialist You guys want to tax “the rich” 90% of what they make. So what happens when “the rich” stop generating revenue? -@GunFreeZone the vast majority will fall in line the others will be forced to keep working. its very simple -@anarcosocialist what do you mean they can’t? How are you gonna force them if they don’t...

I meant to get to this story last week, but like many things in my life, it got pushed aside and partially forgotten. Although cleared of shooting charges in a 2007 dispute at a Key Largo trailer resort, a Hialeah man still faces a felony count of carrying the handgun he used to defend himself. Why, pray tell, is this man facing felony charges for a right enumerated in the Constitution? Because he didn’t have a permission slip to do so. Jorge Correa, 44, must return for a November...

A mom refuses to let her teenage daughter be fondled by complete strangers and is arrested for it. Think about that for a minute – If some random, slovenly high school dropout walked up to you and your child and said he wanted to feel her up, you’d be well within your rights to use lethal force on him. Give him a pair of blue gloves and a shiny, plastic badge that has TSA on it, and you become the criminal. This is why I not only refuse to fly, I refuse to let my daughters fly. I will show no...

Not in this police state. Short of the matter – a lady decides to grow vegetables in her front yard. Her front yard. The city is looking at putting her in jail because they have decided that she should grow grass instead. They’re actually expending money and effort to prosecute a woman for having the audacity to do what she wants with her property, even though the law specifically states that front yards need to have “suitable live plant material.” The waste of oxygen heading up the...

When they utter this phrase That's the last thing we want to do, but … So, my lovely town is considering violation of your civil rights to be peachy keen all in the name of DUI prevention. It means if you refuse a breath test during a traffic stop, a judge is on site, and issues a warrant that allows police to perform a mandatory blood test. On the spot. At least the violations are convenient. All in the name of being able to pad the county checkbook DUI prevention. Won’t be long...
