Why We Win

Jay Caruso has a pretty darned good article out over at Pocket Full of Liberty about the left’s loss when it comes to the topic of the Second Amendment That being said, the real issue here is not so much these nonsensical reasons about why people want to be gun owners but rather the overall attitude the left has for gun owners (and even for those, who like Charlie Cooke are not gun owners but have respect for the second amendment) in general. In the mind of the left, people who support gun...

Put up scary sounding video – prevent comments so people cannot point out the fallacies in it. That’s the 1 page of the playbook for the anti’s – control the message. They have to lie, use scary sounding terms, and prey on people’s emotions while keeping their logic as far away from the light as possible. Here, as on most blogs I haunt, conversation is open. Florida Carry thrives on open communication because we believe we are in the right, and thus the truth will always filter its way to...

Notice how we have some pretty differing opinions on open carry? Notice how we’re commenting to each other? Notice how I don’t erase comments that go against what I might believe? Notice how you all generally try to calmly explain your views because your goal is to change minds with logic rather than emotions? This is why we do better as a group than the anti’s. And I love you all for it.

Woot is selling shooting jacks today. Think about this – there is nothing that the anti gunners can sell. Nothing. There is no anti-gun range where you can take your anti-gun targets and not shoot them. You can’t buy accessories for your anti-gun. There is no market for setting out a day with the family to go to a plot of land and ban guns. The only item in their shopping cart is misery and their currency is lies. Meanwhile, the market continues to find new and innovative things to shoot.

You don’t win elections or issues unless the populace agrees with your stance. You can’t change the way people think by changing their government, you change their government by changing the way they think. I believe that unfortunately, our current government is no longer responsive to the people’s wishes. Obamacare was hugely unpopular, the phone lines were melted with angry constituents, and yet the weasels voted for it anyway. The problem though is that not enough people cared to fix it,...

Uh, no sir, we don’t register weapons here] than any other U.S. state, is expected to reach the 1 million mark next week, a state official said on Wednesday. Of course, the number of people given permits who went on to a life of crime are staggering! Applications for the permits in the state of 19.1 million people have doubled...

Some of the top names in women gun-bloggers were there and it looked to be one hell of a time. Linoge, once again, does all the hard work of crunching the numbers that the anti-gun bigots like to ignore. There are some interesting data points there and even some that the anti’s could argue for their side, but the single most striking visual is that gun ownership continues to increase but ‘gun deaths’ do not, putting to rest the lie that ‘more guns = more crime’ or whatever it is those factually challenged bigots are always parroting.

The results show why we win You want to know why the Brady’s are a fringe group? That’s a pretty good indicator. We win because most people are smart enough to know the difference between a killer and his tools. Update – Looks like I spoke too soon. Being a NY Poll, the results have swung the other way. Because the people who argue against guns are idiots My favorite rejoinder In the twenty-first century, people still believe that they need to stock up guns and buy as many as they can, in case the government tries to come and take them away. The United States Government has a limited amount of trucks, so if you have too many guns you may be able to get away with keeping some of them. He dissects the rest of the screed quite handily.
