Gun Control

Yesterday I was working up a good sweat on something. I needed to open my cell phone (a Google Pixel) to do something, but because my fingers were also sweaty, it wouldn’t open for me. I tried my iPad, but got the same results. And this is the technology they want to put on guns? I mean, if there’s a sweat inducing moment, it’s when you have to go for your sidearm. Heck, it’s not even sweat. While the sensors work most of the time, if I move to quickly, or don’t hold it right, it’ll complain....

If you want to make a pro 2A video, you would record anti-gunners and show the raw footage. If you want to make a pro gun-control video, you record pro-gun people an edit them heavily. Then get your ass sued for it.

Ban ‘em out back Now, if you thread a barrel, you’re under ITAR & need to pony up a few thousand a year and I’m sure submit to rectal inspections (not really. Those would be less intrusive than the paperwork you need to keep). Clinton killed off small dealers, making it so fraught with peril to sell small that people gave up. I refuse to get a suppressor because of the legalities & cost. This is working as designed. They can’t ban guns, so they’ll just make them so legally dangerous to...

I may be blogging less, not talking about guns as much, but believe me, I’m very aware of what’s going on. One thing I want to point out is how those who want power over you (and this doesn’t just mean politicians. It can mean college professors, activists, etc.) will use words to hide their intent. Words crafted in such a way that unless you give it some thought, would seem benign. For example, when politicians and anti-gunners say “We want to get weapons of war off the street”, what they...

Graphics matter, year the fifth and graphics matter, year the fifth, part two are up. As usual, Linoge does a phenomenal job of crunching the numbers the anti-gun loons refuse to see. We have numbers, charts, references, open discussions, facts and history. They have dick jokes.

Time and time again, we are told the best way to reduce ‘gun’ violence is to toughen gun laws, as if violence doesn’t exist unless a firearm is involved. It’s repeated ad nauseum that a primary reason violent people commit crimes is because they have easy access to firearms and that extra tough gun laws would diminish their capacity. Here's a story that illustrates why they are wrong. In the melee, Beasley clutched a gun in each fist, blasting away. More than 40 shots were fired as neighbors...

https://ghostgunner.net/ Technology marches on. At this pace, metal 3D printers will be common & affordable in a few years. It’s not that guns are hard to make as it is, but the day you want a 10mm 1911 with a Glock style grip and ported barrel and you just click on a few options & hit print… well, that’s better than Tam’s dream of shrink wrapped pistols on Aisle 6 at Costco. The only way to slow this technology down is by fully implementing an oppressive police state and even then you...

Look no further than Venezuela. As Joe says Private gun ownership in Venezuela was banned in 2012. Yet the country has the second highest murder rate in the world. Guns have nothing to do with murder rates. Banning them does nothing to lower it. Which is why it’s important to understand that the banners don’t want low crime rates, they want a socialist utopia where people are slaves to a government and not individuals. Gun control is just a single step down that dark road.

Or, as I read this from one doctor, I am nodding my head in agreement. The comments, as all gun related comments go, get nasty at times. Insults are slung rather than thoughtful commentary (and this is from both sides) although my favorites are the ones that go “Why can’t you gun-tard NRA freaks be reasonable?” Although thoughtful doesn’t always equate to reasonable either. Some people thoughtfully find ways to dehumanize gun owners, and if you read through the comments, you’ll see what I mean....

Often us gunnies will debate those who wish to disarm us, not to change the mind of the disarmer, but to talk to those who might be on the fence. Twitter is not this place. Twitter is too rapid fire, too ‘personalized’ (aka, you’re not going to see people you don’t really follow) and damn near impossible to follow unless you are part of the conversation from the beginning. So, I’ve given up arguing on Twitter with the anti’s. Sure, poke ‘em with a large stick and rattle their cages, but don’t...

Jay Caruso has a pretty darned good article out over at Pocket Full of Liberty about the left’s loss when it comes to the topic of the Second Amendment That being said, the real issue here is not so much these nonsensical reasons about why people want to be gun owners but rather the overall attitude the left has for gun owners (and even for those, who like Charlie Cooke are not gun owners but have respect for the second amendment) in general. In the mind of the left, people who support gun...

Florida’s concealed carry systems was *SPECIFICALLY* set up to disarm black people and they also banned a specific rifle after a black person said it was the best rifle to defend negroes with. I’m not implying gun banners are racists because of this (they may or may not be, I don’t know nor care), but it will be a fascinating view on how gun control is only about the control and never the safety. Waiting on some data for this so I can back up my assertions, but it was fascinating to hear how...

In order to ‘win you over to their cause’, they’ve made a game where you play the Sandy Hook shooter and you get to kill kids. The worst part is this doesn’t surprise me in the least. I’ve learned over the years there is no depth too low for these cretins. They are so filled with hate that nothing appears too far out there for them. They will use the deaths of anyone to further their cause. Supporting gun control is a sickness.

Read their playbook. Through various channels, we have a copy of this document used by gun controllers on how to ‘message’ their message. It’s chock full of lies and upon a cursory glace, it’s evident they know they’re lying but damn the torpedoes, they’re going full sail. For instance, take this doozy Advocates for gun violence prevention win the logical debate, but lose on more emotional terms. Emphasis in the original. I wonder if whoever typed that up did it with a straight face. If you...

When you want to see your citizens die The rash of weekend shootings comes against a backdrop of major gun control efforts by both New York City and state officials. Mayor Michael Bloomberg has emerged as one of the nation’s strongest advocates for stricter firearm regulations, and has long touted the city’s strict gun control rules as helping to bring about a significant drop in crime over the last decade. (The mayor’s office declined to comment on the weekend’s shootings.) Of course he won’t...

It never fails. I claim that background checks do nothing because they don’t affect criminals and the rejoinder is always I never said we can stop criminals from anything and I said nothing about driving. What I say is that background checks do nothing to lower crime. Nothing. Period. Gun control can lower violence committed with guns, but it will not lower violence overall. In fact, there appears to be a pretty strong correlation between areas with high gun control and increased violence....

It ain’t goin’ back in As for guns … CAD/CAM files (the computer files that 3D printers transform into physical objects one layer at a time) for the .45 caliber M1911 or the 1911A-1 single-action, semi-automatic pistol have been online for years.  In fact, you can find all kinds of CAD/CAMs for all kinds of gun parts, bomb parts, bazooka parts, rocket launcher parts and other deadly weapons online.  These are computer files, like songs or movies or documents or images, they cannot be...

3D Printing of an entire handgun is around the corner Will it work? Wilson thinks it will, and it won't be just a one-shot wonder it will be able to fire a few shots before melting or breaking. Wilson didn't want to reveal too much about what could become the world's first fully 3D-printed gun, saying he will make the actual announcement soon. He did reveal some details, however. The gun will be made of 12 parts, all printed in ABS+, a very sturdy type of thermoplastic. There might be,...

But this isn't hyperbole from these people, this is what they actually think about us People who oppose background checks are terrorists. They are an extreme minority who attempt to instill fear and terror in the population. And they are accessories to the murder of children. As I type they are communicating back and forth about how to overthrow the U.S. government. And conservative members of the U.S. Congress are cooperating with these terrorists. Is any more proof needed that conservatives...

So, yesterday, the Gun Control supporters did what they do best – fail. They threw around lies like “90% of people support background checks” and then cannot fathom why they couldn’t even get a bare majority of Democrat senators to vote for it. I guess after you lie to yourself long enough, you start to believe it as gospel, but smart people would realize something with 90% approval would be a shoe in for a constitutional amendment. Alas, delusion is a powerful force. For example, see this...
