Another senseless murder Clearwater Police announced the arrest of 16-year-old Mychal King on Thursday.  He is accused in the January murder of Jason Taylor Paul, the city's first homicide of 2013. Police said King admitted to killing Paul for no reason other than he had a hard day with his family that night of January 6, and "just wanted to kill the first person he saw." Just pissed off, bored, and decided to pick a victim and stab them to death. 16 years old. Let that sink in for a...

The Jetta S The Jetta S drives exactly like a Ferrari 458 Speciale in the sense that, if you turn the steering wheel clockwise, the Jetta turns to the right. Conversely, counter-clockwise turns of the wheel will move it to the left. There is also a very Ferrari-like setup of two pedals on the floor, one of which makes the Jetta move, while the other makes it stop moving. *Snerk*

Stevie Wonder visits Florida. To be fair, he just said he won’t perform here and as the article implied, there was no indication of any performances.

Make it so damned difficult to do that people just give up. Maryland now declares that you must receive strict training before you can even handle a gun. This means you cannot introduce people to shooting unless they take a class (which, being required means people can charge whatever they want). This is why I do not own a suppressor. Paying $800 for a $20 part, requiring legal documents, LEO sign off and ‘stamps’ for what should be something you pick up out of a bin at WalMart is too much...

This. Gas station was all police-taped off with forensics and cops walking over everything like ants on a picnic. I *thought* I had seen some sheets on the ground as I drove past, but it probably was just sheets from something else, not dead guy blankets since the guy the deputy shot was taken to the hospital.

Win stupid prizes The game was called "point 'em out, knock 'em out," and it was as random as it was brutal. The object: Target an innocent victim for no other reason than they are there, then sucker punch him or her. But on this day in Lansing, there would be no punch. The teen-age attacker had a stun gun. He did not know his would-be victim was carrying a legally concealed pistol. The teen lost the game. Luckily, the teen only got shot in the ass for his trouble and is expected to recuperate...

This will happen in the US too When his 40 employees found out what had happened, they were furious. They were not due to return from holiday until next week but got wind of the covert operation in mid-August and turned up at the Firem factory in the town of Formigine to find the place devoid of machinery. They blocked the last of around 20 trucks from leaving the plant, but the rest were long gone, en route to the town of Olawa in south-west Poland. Mr Pedroni says he has received death...

Said it was from a private school in Arkansas. That sign is much more effective than one that says “No Guns Allowed”. Update – It be real and all And from here School administrator Perry Black told Fox News the “purpose of the sign is to prevent us from ever having to use any kind of force.” “We have a moral obligation to protect those children in our care and we’re dedicated to doing that with whatever means are necessary,” he said. “I’d rather be in the news for having a sign than having a...

This is what the anti-gunners actually want What monster would not protect their own children with lethal force? How much of a coward do you need to be to stand by and watch someone get raped? What is life like when your ideology supersedes your compassion toward the innocent? This is what I warned about a while back about viewing your entire life through a single set of opaque lenses. I can comprehend the mindset that ‘guns are equated with violence thus we must lower violence by removing...

Chilling. Before you read the story, I want you to read my edited excerpt About 3 p.m. Friday, Christopher Lane, 23, was found with a [REDACTED] wound to his lower back on Country Club Road just south of Twilight Beach Drive in Duncan, Police Chief Danny Ford said. He died about an hour later at a hospital. … Sunday afternoon, the 17-year-old admitted that the teens had been in a house a quarter-mile to half-mile south of the [REDACTED] scene when they saw Lane pass by and designated him as...

The NYPD does NOT like being called out about poor firearm safety for their ‘junk on the bunk’ spread I called NYPD yesterday to ask a few questions about the press conference. The first time around a Lieutenant answered the phone and our conversation was brief. I told him I was a reporter and simply asked him why the confiscated guns were pointed out at the audience (instead of placed sideways). "They're not loaded," he said. "Why are you focusing on the negative?" If you were to do...

During our OC event this weekend, some of the guys were discussing how they heard some officer spout on about how OC is legal, but ill-advised as it may scare someone who will place a call which means they have toet send out officers to interrogate you and determine that you’re not a criminal and whatnot. This makes no sense to me. Let’s replace one completely legal activity with another and see if this holds water 911 Op: “What’s the emergency?”Caller: “There’s a man walking down the street...

We did get one old guy who saw us, raised his hands in exasperation, then continued his walk. So, it wasn’t completely unnoticed. Still, one would think that in a state where OC wasn’t permitted in general there would be screaming and mass panic especially considering the pier we were at is immediately next to a children’s playground. By the way… I still hate fishing.

By saying the Marines need a new helmet to stop bullets implies our heads aren’t hard enough as it is The Army Times is reporting the United States Marine Corps placed an order for more than 3800 new helmets capable of stopping rifle rounds at point blank range. The new helmet is called the Enhanced Combat Helmet or ECH.  According to, the new helmets use Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene instead of older ballistic fibers like Kevlar and Tarwon.  The result is a...

We changed iMac’s lesson days to better suit the school year when it starts and she had her lesson last night for the first time on a Tuesday. I have been working with her on the mechanics of playing because she needs that muscle memory. Trying to play chords is difficult for her right now because she simply doesn’t have the shapes ‘memorized’ to the point where she can play them in time. She knows G, D, and Amin, but can’t switch between them fast enough to play 'Knocking on Heaven’s Door’. So...

Woot is selling shooting jacks today. Think about this – there is nothing that the anti gunners can sell. Nothing. There is no anti-gun range where you can take your anti-gun targets and not shoot them. You can’t buy accessories for your anti-gun. There is no market for setting out a day with the family to go to a plot of land and ban guns. The only item in their shopping cart is misery and their currency is lies. Meanwhile, the market continues to find new and innovative things to shoot.

As an activist, you tend to be very involved in a relatively small part of the bigger picture. For a relevant example, I’d say the vast majority of the population doesn’t spend the amount of time and effort I do into firearm related politics. Doing so tends to focus your attention to details and if you’re not careful, you’ll find yourself trying to shoehorn everything into the tiny box you call ‘activism’. There have been several items of interest to me late.  Take this article over at Ace...
