If I were to go out, get drunk, and shoot some people because I had a problem with their sexual orientation, I’d be thrown in prison. If you’re a cop with a history of alcohol abuse while on the job, you get paid leave Charging documents released Monday described how Kenneth Furr crashed his Cadillac into another vehicle early Friday morning, stood on the hood of the victims' vehicle and shouted, "I'm gonna kill all of you." There were five people in the other vehicle, police...

So she files suit.... Why can't they learn that in a situation like this, give them back immediately and hope things quiet down. Here in Florida, persons who pass or continue to enforce illegal gun laws are to be held accountable for their actions personally. The law hasn’t even taken effect and counties are dropping their onerous gun laws off the books as fast as they can get the whiteout to dry. What do you think will happen when cops start getting held to the same standard when they try to trample your First Amendment rights by claiming you can’t tape them? They’re going to get their asses sued. The officers, of.

I’ll be the first to admit that I was displeased with the outcome of Senate Bill 234 and Open Carry here in Florida. While the logic was sound on the merits and morality of Open Carry, we had strong opposition from both the Florida Retail Federation (who didn’t want to be forced to make a decision between law abiding carriers and PSH patrons) as well as the Sheriff’s Association. Sadly, neither group had a coherent or logical argument against Open Carry, instead they resorted to lies,...

Part of my design drive that I’m in the midst of (to those in the queue, you’re time is coming up. Florida is only 1 of 6 states that disallows firearms in non-sensitive areas of an airport The Federal government has determined that the "sterile area" is the "sensitive place" at an airport but Florida has gone much farther and banned even licensed carry inside the entire terminal, on this topic Florida is one of the most restrictive places in the country. Emphasis mine. I didn’t know this a while back. I may have even blogged about committing a felony....

More and more Florida ordinances which have been illegal for 25 continue to fall "There's no point in keeping this on the books because we couldn't enforce it anyhow," Kee told the commission. "This does not keep the city from enforcing state firearm laws." Good, I’m glad they recognize that. State law, while still a bit overbearing in my opinion, is plenty enough to ‘promote safety’ or whatever the catch phrase is these days. You don’t promote safety by having a...

Lots and lots and lots of things. It’s like Christmas just keeps coming earlier and earlier. I mean, really, what’s better to stuff your stocking with than the wailing and gnashing of lawmakers’ teeth?

“It killed Robb!” Jo Anne shrieked. Larry, you gotta do some book signings here in Florida. I want mine to say “That wasn’t you, but it could be. Watch your back. – Larry”

30 years ago today, MTV came online. I remember being over at my cousins’ house and being allowed to stay up to watch it come online. I mean, I’m old enough to remember when MTV played music videos, so that’s saying something.

Mr. Completely talks a bit about reloading over at GunUp. At some point, there’s a Dillon Square Deal in my future. I’ve maxed out the Lee Turret and I need a bit more speed than I’m getting to make reloading en masse worth my time.

I know not all the gunnies are fond of, as Tam Kevin Baker called it, “As the Cartridge Turns”, but personally I enjoy the fact that my wife loves to watch Top Shot. Sure, the first time it was on our TV was because Caleb was a contestant, but when you can draw in that many eyes and normalize guns, I think it helps our cause tremendously. That being said, Top Shot Season 3 is ready to roll. From an email I received WEBSITE: http://www.history.com/shows/top-shot/ CAST...

But president of MKS Supply Charles Brown responded to Jake at Curses, Foiled Again! over the Chiappa RFID / tin-foil comment. Go read. It *seems* pretty straightforward. Mr. Brown assumes full responsibility and concedes that it was meant to be a joke that didn’t go over well. As someone who dabbles in humor from time to time, I readily admit I’ve shoved my foot in my mouth more times than I can count trying to make-the-funny. He doesn’t say “Sorry about that”, but he also doesn’t try to...

So, a full decade ago, Michigan loosened the laws on concealed carry. The results? Before July 1, 2001, applicants had to prove why they needed to carry a gun for protection. Since then, any nominally sane adult without a felony record qualifies. During the debate, opponents of the change warned of gun-toting, trigger-happy citizens loose on the streets. But violent crimes have been rare among carrying a concealed weapon license holders. Only 2% of license holders have been...

Saw one of those “Keep Honking… I’m Reloading” bumper stickers this morning. For whatever reason, I pictured a Dillon Square Deal in the back.
