Took the family to Sea World yesterday. It was iMac’s first time so I took the day off. Got rained on something fierce, but they had a good time nonetheless. However, when we first entered park, the ‘security’ drones had to inspect our bags. We carry a backpack with necessities like a few granola bars, a towel, etc so we unzipped the main compartment and the old fart put a dowel in there for 1/1000th of a second then waved us on. Until he noticed the clip of my 5.11 knife. That was a no-go! ...

Marine gets medal for thwarting robbery. Except according to the thugs themselves, it was going to go from robbery to murder and rape. When the men overheard the robbers’ plan to rape the women and then shoot all the victims, Barner decided he had to take action. The sergeant, licensed to carry a concealed weapon, waited until the robbers were far enough away from the bedroom that he could grab the .40-caliber handgun in his book bag, which he had stashed in the room earlier that night. ..

A commenter emailed me the other day about a comment I left over at Ace of Spades regarding the Gunwalker saga. Ace, as is his wont, is loathe to believe that anyone could be truly evil in their intentions. From my reading of his comments, he believes that the ATF went into Fast & Furious with the best of intentions even if they were misguided. Ace has a point – most people do not go around with the intent of causing the deaths of others. I seriously doubt that anyone in the ATF truly...
