If you’re short a staple gun, you can just use a length of pipe with another piece of pipe with a slightly larger inner diameter and a nail / screw through the bottom. Putting on my broken record hat – guns are NOT difficult items to make. What’s difficult to make are reliable weaponry that lasts a long time. Luckily there was spackling available and I was able to fix the wall before anyone got home, but the guilt was powerful. So powerful that even after waking up, I was shaken. Editing makes it unapparent how long it took me to realize what had happened, but it was definitely a few seconds and not the instant that Caleb does his magic. I don’t practice failure drills enough and that’s something I should work on. When it...

Top Gun Banners? Looks like the anti’s are dredging for any support they can get. Unfortunately for them, they’re going to have to scrape the bottom of the barrel. When the local news crew looked for someone to speak for Open Carry, they found me within minutes. The Brady Campaign had to ‘phone it in’ via Skype from someone half a state away. From her kitchen. Real professional! Poor gun banners, having to work *hard* to counter the positive press the gun community has gained via shows like...

TMI
So, as probably a few people know, I’ve lost my mind and decided to start running again. I had been hitting my treadmill for a while and then decided that I should try the pavement again. When I started, a mile just about killed me. Now, I’m up to a mile and a half and barely breathing hard at all. So, I’m going to push 2 miles or so tomorrow. Goal is to run a 5k at some point and not wish for death while doing so. My cardiovascular system seems to have gotten into shape faster than I was...

One thing that slips by me sometimes as I get caught up in the activism and review world is that I forget to enjoy myself while shooting. It’s not all politics and precision, sometimes you just need to have a great time putting holes in paper or ridding the world of the scourge of clay pigeons. Don’t forget to have fun when you shoot.

First and foremost – Fully automatic 10mm Glock. I may be talking to my doctor in 4 hours if you get my drift. Second, can’t own this here in the states because we’re free people and free people are only free when there’s hundreds of thousands of laws restricting them from doing what they want. Third, let’s talk about full auto handguns. That guy looks around my size-ish. Notice how maybe his first shot would have hit its target but the following 14 or 15 actually post more danger to low...

If you’re in the Central Florida region, the Central Florida Rifle & Pistol Club is having its annual Ladies Day at the Gun Range next Saturday, March the 12th. The shooting sports is not a male-only club, and it does my heart good to see more and more women shooting, so if you’re in the area why don’t you drop by and show the guys how it’s done!

But when Obama says publicly that he supports the 2nd Amendment and that he can not ‘veto’ it in front of Mexico, you gotta wonder how attractive that bottle of Wild Turkey and the full prescription of sleeping pills on the nightstand are looking to the Brady Campaign.

They’re going up in price too During the interview, Costa described a “perfect storm” that led to the $10 price increase of 5.11 Tactical pants. Why did prices increase? Costa mentioned a combination of reasons, including the rising cost of oil, cotton, labor and the dollar’s declining exchange rate in the world economy. Prices are going up because of all that? Where have I heard that before? Regardless, this economy will probably do more to promote the pants free lifestyle more than I...

I love listening to music complaining about consumerism. I’m willing to bet those bands would be the first in line to sue for piracy too.

MikeW picks up a Dan Wesson 1911 and some beer, for only one kidney. *Sigh* It’s a shame I mortgaged  my kidneys a while back for that nice unicycle I never learned how to ride.

You know, the $50 it cost to fill the tank of my tiny GTI? Imagine what that feels like when you’re pumping 200 gallons of diesel into your semi to haul things like food, supplies, and metals around. That ammo that you’re just glad started showing back up on the shelf? Get ready for those prices to start going up. Sadly, everything will start skyrocketing really soon. You can’t just print billions of dollars, restrict offshore drilling, continue all these ‘wars’, and pay the TSA to fondle...

Imagine my surprise when I finally got my time machine built, powered on, and opened the door for its initial test run to find my long deceased grandfather in there with his shotgun mumbling something about “not if I get you first you little son of a bitch”. -End

As well as hassle the same elderly lady 50 times. Let that sink in for a moment. This lady has had 50 raids on her house because the Popo uses a private address as the default address for warrants. I’m a computer developer, and the concept that you MUST put in an address is stupid enough as it is, but for pete’s sake, it should be the Police Dept. Headquarters if it has to be anything.

Salesperson: “Good afternoon Ma’am. How can I help you today?” Customer: “Hi, yes, I was hoping to look at banning a gun today” Salesperson: “Absolutely, you’ve come to the right place. We’re one of the top stores in the south-east for banning weaponry. I think you’ll find what you’re looking for as we have a wide selection of firearms for you to demand be banned. What exactly are you looking for?” Customer: “Well, I just got through a rough spot with an abusive ex, and I decided...

And yet they still put me on TV From ABC Action News All in all, not a bad performance on my part although you see me shoot more than I speak. The shooting was interesting because I didn't think that was going to be part of the interview and only had 15+1 rounds on me, so I had to take my time. The reporter did a pretty good job editing it to make me look like I was shooting a bit more than I was (Yes, I shot high because I was only out at 7 yards). News being news, my 15 minutes of...

The anti-gun crowd loves to play the “People shouldn’t have guns because at any moment, they’ll lose it and kill large groups of handicapped children!”. This is preposterous for two reasons – one, most people are sane and do not go on murdering sprees. Period. Those that do are statistical noise and generally impossible to track down and incarcerate before they kill. Two, when they do snap they can kill a lot of people very quickly using a very effective tool called the Volkswagen (warning,...

Japete let loose another howler today But now, how is it possible to know who is legally carrying and who is not? How are police officers to know the difference? This is a ridiculous self fulfilling prophecy and an excuse to kill. That sounds like a great movie! Coming soon to blood drenched theaters near you!
