Apparently, the MSM's vaunted editorial checks aren't quite as vaunted as they like to pretend. Let's look at this little gem GULFPORT - Johnathan Barfield had gotten used to answering the door at his FEMA trailer with a Glock pistol in his hand. Scary gun story. But when Tiffany Talley knocked Wednesday, the gun somehow fell from his grasp and to the floor, discharging a bullet that struck the Gulfport High standout student in the face and killed her. Just to clarify something, this is a...

Because they're just so pretty One day I'll get a shot of the rifle too. Can't wait to take the Glock out to the range.

Bloom County, Calvin & Hobbes, and now FoxTrot. FoxTrot is like a daily read for me. I can relate to almost every character (and Paige? Well, let's just say with 2 girls myself I consider her a 'primer'). Bill Amend is switching to Sundays Only, so it's not like it's going away forever, but I hope it doesn't degrade to Outland quality (I don't consider Outland a worthy replacement for Bloom County). Gonna miss ya, Fox Family.

Sorry I've been so silent lately, but the holidays are a time for my family and I've just had to spend as much time with my girls as humanly possible (those 'girls' by the way include the Mrs.) I'm chalking this year up as a success. Georgia wanted only one thing this year - a Disney Princess Little Mermaid Talking Vanity. If you take a gander at it, you'll see that it rates an 11 on a 1 to 10 scale of gaudiness. And we found out that's what she wanted after we had already spent an inordinate...

On the way to pick up my new Glock yesterday, I passed a business who had a large marquee that read "Wishing you and yours a joyous Christmas". It was a porn shop. I guess nothing celebrates Christmas better than a video of eggnog coated midgets dressed as elves and having an orgy.

3 days. To make sure I have enough time to cool off, in case I'm mad or something. Then, I get to pick up this My new Glock 29 10mm Auto. I originally was wanting a Sig 229 (with both .40 and .357 Sig barrels) but Sigs, as nice as they are, are pricey. I decided on the 29 because I am so used to shooting .357 magnums that I've simply grown accustomed to massive rounds. Full load 10's can snap your wrist off if you're small of frame, but at 6'3" and ...ummm 200+ pounds...or so..., that's not...

I am in the process of getting my Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) permit. At the same time, I'm planning on purchasing a new handgun that is more suitable to concealment than my Dan Wesson .357 magnum. I'm looking at a Glock-29 (10mm) which I'm taking to the range tomorrow to ensure it's comfortable for my hands. Now, I was just talking to a coworker of mine. The guy's fairly left leaning. The subjects of guns were broached and I mentioned I was getting my permit. This, of course, was totally...

I used to consider God a benevolent, caring being that loved us. But I'm slowly losing faith in that view since, IMHO, a caring, loving God wouldn't allow Go West's "King of Wishful Thinking" to get stuck in my head. Add to the fact that the other day had Alabama's "Love in the first degree" permanently stuck on repeat in my brain, and I'd wager a bet the old man has it in for me.

The other day I got pulled over for a 'rolling stop'. I learned my lesson. Apparently, the lady behind me this morning as I stopped before turning right, didn't. Nobody was hurt, so thank God for small favors. She smashed up one of my bumperettes and ripped a hole the wheel cover. Hopefully the bumperette's bolts aren't bent and it can be removed easily or else they'll have to use some sort of arc-welder to cut them loose. Luckily for me, I'm scheduled go to the gun range for lunch and will...

On the way to work I saw a sign that said "Para-military Martial Arts" which I promptly misread as  "Para-military Marital Aids". Somehow I think my erroneous interpretation could still represent a lucrative business model.

The flu sucks. Thought I'd gotten it on Tuesday, bore the brunt of it on Wednesday, then started to feel better on Thursday. I thought wrong. Plus I had a wedding shoot yesterday, so I'm run down. The Mrs. has it too, so the SaaM household is just one giant bundle of joy. How are you doing?
