I was going to say this
But Larry Correia says is much better As for all of the people out there on the internet having a massive freak out about the government potentially damaging something they love… WELCOME TO THE PARTY. You think this is something new or unusual? Nope. This is just about a topic that you happen to be familiar with. If you fall into that camp, I want you to take a deep breath, step back, and examine all of the other issues in the past that you didn’t know jack squat about, but your knee...

I know! Let’s expand their power to the streets!
TSA fails to catch loaded gun in bag A luggage ramp crew retrieved the .38-caliber handgun after it tumbled from a duffel bag they were loading onto Alaska Airlines Flight 563 to Portland, Ore. The owner took a later flight to Portland, and the gun was turned over to police. So, we’re getting groped and fondled because it’s “for our own good” and “increases security”, yet a loaded pistol just slides on by. Now, granted this was in a checked bag so it wouldn’t have been accessible to the...

This is the end game we’ve been warning you about
I’ve been saying all along, Fast & Furious was nothing more than an attempt to implement gun control based on cooked up numbers and manufactured crises. The gun banners and gov’t officials understood that there was no data to support their desire to ban weapons so they made it up out of whole cloth. Where there wasn’t blood in the streets, the government forced gun dealers to sell firearms to people they knew who’d cause a flood. Now, caught in the act, all they can do is try to push...

Some of these people mean to do you harm
Miguel over at Gun Free Zone has a twitter conversation with one of the Occupy Wall Street goons. What said goon tells him is nothing short than chilling -@anarcosocialist You guys want to tax “the rich” 90% of what they make. So what happens when “the rich” stop generating revenue? -@GunFreeZone the vast majority will fall in line the others will be forced to keep working. its very simple -@anarcosocialist what do you mean they can’t? How are you gonna force them if they don’t...

When seconds count
Cops are right there to beat someone with Downs’ Syndrome senseless because they mistook the bulge of his colostomy bag for a gun. The report said officers spotted a bulge in Powell's waist band and when they tried to pat him down, he tried to flee. Police say Powell broke free as officers tried to place him in handcuffs, hitting his forehead on the ground. There is no legitimate reason for a cop to stop someone simply because of a bulge - it could be an iPod, a cell phone, a multi-tool,...

Orwell was only wrong about the tool

I didn’t write a post yesterday
For one, my oldest celebrated her 9th birthday, so it was a day of happiness for our family. Georgia loved her gifts (even Irelyn bought her a doll out of her own money!) and had a great time with the family dropping by. My grandmother was there and gave both girls some diamond studded elephant pendants that she had collected over the years – my grandmother has always collected elephant related items – as something to remember her by. Cake was eaten, presents were open, dinner was consumed,...

Theft by any other name
Would still be theft. But in my case, it’s the Gov’t demanding its graft and we all just kind of shrug it off. The Mrs. and I are refinancing our mortgage. We’re dropping 8 years off and lowering the interest by 2 full points. The final savings is over $45,000 in interest for barely $75 more a month, so it’s quite the deal. Of course, in all the costs associated with getting a mortgage, there is nearly one thousand dollars owed to the city in fees. WTF? Again, this is where most people simply...

This is what I would call a good start
TSA agent molests a blogger. Blogger LOUDLY calls her out. TSA Agent Thedala Magee sues for These outbursts in public and writings on the internet have subject my client to hatred, contempt, ridicule, or obloquy, and have injured her in her reputation and her occupation. No person working for the TSA will ever get a kind word form me. No TSA agent will ever be allowed to pass the threshold of my house. I want these jackbooted, blue-gloved thugs of society shamed to the point where...

Pretty please with sugar on top?
I meant to get to this story last week, but like many things in my life, it got pushed aside and partially forgotten. Although cleared of shooting charges in a 2007 dispute at a Key Largo trailer resort, a Hialeah man still faces a felony count of carrying the handgun he used to defend himself. Why, pray tell, is this man facing felony charges for a right enumerated in the Constitution? Because he didn’t have a permission slip to do so. Jorge Correa, 44, must return for a November...

Like you and me, only better
If I were to go out, get drunk, and shoot some people because I had a problem with their sexual orientation, I’d be thrown in prison. If you’re a cop with a history of alcohol abuse while on the job, you get paid leave Charging documents released Monday described how Kenneth Furr crashed his Cadillac into another vehicle early Friday morning, stood on the hood of the victims' vehicle and shouted, "I'm gonna kill all of you." There were five people in the other vehicle, police...

Again, accountability is the key
David Hardy posts Let's see now.... police hear that a lady has firearms, enter her home without a warrant, confiscate 13 guns, find out that she owns them all legally... and refuse to return them unless she gets a court order. So she files suit.... Why can't they learn that in a situation like this, give them back immediately and hope things quiet down. To which an anonymous commenter replies Because they won't lose their jobs, or pensions, or personally be personally held liable...

Accountability. Pass it on
Here in Florida, persons who pass or continue to enforce illegal gun laws are to be held accountable for their actions personally. The law hasn’t even taken effect and counties are dropping their onerous gun laws off the books as fast as they can get the whiteout to dry. What do you think will happen when cops start getting held to the same standard when they try to trample your First Amendment rights by claiming you can’t tape them? They’re going to get their asses sued. The officers, of...

Not only am I a felon
I’m on the evening news committing the actual felony. Now, I hear you saying “Robb, that’s ridonkulous. Nobody is going to press charges against you for shooting a gun in a gun range!” and you’d be wrong. The laws are not set up to protect the public, but to provide a mechanism so that no man or woman can exist without committing some crime. There is no way to rule innocent men and all. So, my work with Florida Carry ends up rubbing some two-bit tyrant the wrong way, they have a laundry list...

Sorry, but I’m not buying it
Sebastian says goodbye to the TSA Nude-O-Scope, but I no more believe that than I believe Congress really cares about the debt ceiling. The TSA is now claiming the new software will only display a cookie-cutter image of a man or woman with highlighted areas where there might be an object stored on the person. If you want, they’ll even show you the image. And that’s supposed to make everyone believe they’re safe from prying eyes. Bad news kiddos, it’s a lie. To scan your body to find...

Open letter to Eric Holder
Mr. Holder, There are two lines of thought on Fast & Furious. Either you knew it was happening and thus are unqualified to hold the position you do know or you were ignorant of the most politically damning action since Watergate (which didn’t end up with thousands of dead bodies, only a little empty tape) and thus are unqualified to hold the position you do now. Either way, you lose. Man up, take responsibility for your failures and fall on your sword honorably. Sincerely, Every...

Private property?
Not in this police state. Short of the matter – a lady decides to grow vegetables in her front yard. Her front yard. The city is looking at putting her in jail because they have decided that she should grow grass instead. They’re actually expending money and effort to prosecute a woman for having the audacity to do what she wants with her property, even though the law specifically states that front yards need to have “suitable live plant material.” The waste of oxygen heading up the...

It’s a scam, I’ve been telling you this for ages
Much like the tooth fairy, the Yeti, or ‘Tom Cruise is Straight’, the concept of government inspections increasing safety is a myth “The permit for the state-run swimming pool where a woman’s body went unnoticed for more than two days this week had expired six months ago. A city health inspector who examined it Tuesday determined the water was cloudy, but did not see her remains resting on the bottom. . . . It raised sharp questions about whether those responsible for safety at the pool,...

Never go full retard
Or 20 cops will taser, pepper-spray, zip-tie, and beat you Dayton police "mistook" a mentally handicapped teen-ager's speech impediment for "disrespect," so they Tasered, pepper-sprayed and beat him and called for backup from "upward of 20 police officers" after the boy rode his bicycle home to ask his mother for help, the boy's mom says. I’m getting sick and tired of all these stories like this. I’ve gone from wanting to be a cop to developing an...
