What does losing look like
Yeah, pretty much like this. I drink Starbucks every day, but that’s because I buy their Sumatra by the bag full. However, I’ll be making a special trip on the 14th so I can get a cup ‘o joe and a scone.

Lots of videos of an attractive young lady compensating for her penis
Destinee reviews the Baretta Nano I haven’t gone through her other videos, but there appears to be a considerable treasure trove of ‘em out there. You don’t see Japete putting up reviews of the latest anti-gun measures now do you?

I don’t know what’s cooler
The fact that a bunch of women are openly discussing their firearm ownership or that there’s actually ‘group breast exams’. Since this is a gun blog, I’m going to openly vote for the former while secretly applauding the latter.

Oh, don’t bother the anti’s with all those pesky facts
Linoge, once again, does all the hard work of crunching the numbers that the anti-gun bigots like to ignore. There are some interesting data points there and even some that the anti’s could argue for their side, but the single most striking visual is that gun ownership continues to increase but ‘gun deaths’ do not, putting to rest the lie that ‘more guns = more crime’ or whatever it is those factually challenged bigots are always parroting.

Nothing like a good, bald-faced lie to start your day
The VPC has to make up stats out of whole cloth. You know, when you find yourself having to lie to try to get a point across, it’s really time to check your base assumptions.

Some disassembly required
Richard Nascak, one of my fellow board members for Florida Carry, absolutely demolishes a Florida CBS Affiliate’s article on the upcoming HB45 deadline. Says Richard Can any media outlet get anything right? No, they can’t, and Richard’s comment is a thing of beauty. Please go give it a read. Why do we win? Because not only is our position right, those who oppose us don’t even know what the $@#*& they are talking about.

I can’t vouch for the caloric content
But the tears of hippies are very, very sweet. Gotta love how the author dismisses the hundreds of thousands of successful self defense events each year as ‘a crock’. At least he’s giving up. That’s a plus.

What a difference a gun makes
What was that crash downstairs? Remember, the Brady’s and their ilk want people like Meryl here to have nothing else at their disposal in these instances rather than a phone and maybe a baseball bat. Hat tip Bill Quick

Looks like my BS meter pegging was right
That “I’m a gun owner but” guy from a few days ago? If you look for a gunsmith named Charles Ford, you won’t find much I have searched all gunsmiths in the Portland area that hold an FFL and I don't find any "Charles Ford". I have also Googled Mr. Ford and again, I don't find any gunsmith in Portland by the name of "Charles Ford". Finally, I asked the members of the Oregon Hometown Forum on ar15.com if anyone had ever heard of a gunsmith in the Portland area by this...

And I thought I was special taking a new shooter to the range
A local reader took nearly 400! Hi, Robb, Since you were kind enough to make mention of it on the blog, here's an "after action report" on our Ladies' Day event Saturday: we had 384 women show up and try shooting. Unfortunately, late in the day we ran out of safety glasses and earplugs and had to turn away about 50 because we couldn't allow them to shoot without eye and ear protection. A planning failure we'll fix for next year, along with some improved organization (example:...

A gun buyback program I can really get behind
Austinites Outbid Police in Gun Buyback Counter-Program Today in Austin TX – Activists were successful in buying TRUNKS full of usable firearms that would have otherwise been destroyed (or ended up in the hands of “terrorists” – as we have seen before how cops confiscate guns and resell them to cartels…) About 40 gun buyers, both independent and otherwise, stood in front of the Austin Police Gun Buyback Event offering CASH for the guns they were about to turn in to the city for food...

A takedown of epic proportions
Local retired journalist craps his britches over the bill to allow Floridians to Open Carry as well as carry on campuses. Pretty much every PSH talking point is covered in detail since I believe most journalists get anti-gun talking points on a USB drive so that they can save time and just copy and paste it, filling in a few extra adjectives a la Mad Libs to make the story a bit more interesting. However, in the comments, RealUSMC obliterates the article with actual facts. So billi,...

How life has changed
Reading through the NY Daily News’ coverage of the ‘shrine’ of the Tuscan shooter, they had a poll regarding if people thought gun laws were too strict or not. The results show why we win You want to know why the Brady’s are a fringe group? That’s a pretty good indicator. We win because most people are smart enough to know the difference between a killer and his tools. Update – Looks like I spoke too soon. Being a NY Poll, the results have swung the other way. Can’t win ‘em all ;)

I’ve not seen debating skills like this since preschool
When faced with links and logic, the best japete can respond with in her comments are jewels like this You are kidding, right? … Nonsense, Sebastian. I don't believe that for a minute. … To the comment one up, jedge: " The anti-gun groups' biggest problem is that they mistake the NRA's posturing for some sort of actual leadership, and nothing like this is true. The gun rights movement isn't about the NRA, and it's not about protecting the manufacturers. It's about...

Ignorance exposed This is why we win folks. Because the other side is composed of people who don't know the difference between a trigger guard and a firing pin yet they want to make laws based on what they saw on Die Hard XIV. Excellent work Sean.

Why we win
Because the people who argue against guns are idiots My favorite rejoinder In the twenty-first century, people still believe that they need to stock up guns and buy as many as they can, in case the government tries to come and take them away. The United States Government has a limited amount of trucks, so if you have too many guns you may be able to get away with keeping some of them. He dissects the rest of the screed quite handily.

When you have to lie
It's a pretty good bet you're on the wrong side of the equation I have started to receive information that there is a group or organization that is approaching restaurants face to face with literature and telling them that they are required to post their property. They are selling these restaurants signs that prohibit firearms. There is a possibility that they are representing or “suggesting” that they are government officials and using some degree of pressure to make the restaurant...

Why we win
Sarah says I gave Bro my Mil Pro because his finances have been tight for a while; he just couldn’t swing a gun of his own. Now he has the one that I trusted enough to carry for roughly three years. Hey, he has a wife to think about. He needs to be able to protect her (she’s not 21 yet, so no public carry/totin’ permit for her yet). Mom bought him cleaning supplies for it and I will be shipping him the Crossbreed holster after he gets back from the honeymoon. The anti's only have tragedy...

Why we win
Because you probably don't have a Southwest Regional Director for Students for the Brady Campaign. From Daniel Crocker, Southwest Regional Director of Students for Concealed Carry on Campus I don't know if you have seen anything about this, but the number of colleges allowing concealed carry on campus has more than doubled this week. Especially as this has not received any media coverage, I feel that this is a substantial news issue that should be covered and would be of interest to...

Poor widdle Bwady Campaign
There doesn't seem to be any restaurants that advertise a 10% discount if you go there disarmed. Unlike our side, where there are BBQ joints that give a discount for open carry. I wonder something. Here in Florida, OC is verboten. But on private property, I don't see why it would be. I wonder if a restaurant could do the same thing and not fall afoul of the law.

I'd say that ratio is a bit skewed
From Say Uncle, I see the email campaign to show support for Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden, the sheriff that refused to book CCW carriers for carrying on campus has been very successful. Uncle got a form response that is wonderful to read but I'd like to highlight this point I have received 170 e-mails from all corners and coasts of the United States supporting my position. I haven’t had such a response since my Third Annual Politically Incorrect Christmas tree Decorating Party or the...

More on why we win
Remember that not too long ago I took a young college student to the range for her first trip? I just got this on my Facebook page I'm trying to get more information on this to blog about it, but think about it. Do you think UCF has a "Gun Banning Week", or a "Violate Constitutional Rights" week?
