Some kid will come up with a nifty, full auto, air powered, AA battery launcher made out of supplies readily available supplies from Home Depot. Gun control – as useless as a Milton Friedman book on economics in the Obama library. Hat Tip WizardPC

In my last post I said I think I might just make mag holders out of cardboard toilet paper tubes, some staples and duct tape, then look for a diaper bag at a yard sale for the range bag instead. I forgot about the kind of readers I have. Update From Richard at BlueSheepdog.com That should be plenty for USPSA with spares!

A 4mm Zippo Gun should do the trick Now, while this is a novelty, it does illustrate how you can put a gun inside common, every day items. While I don’t think you’d have to worry about much more than broken skin from being shot with this, it’s not that difficult to smuggle larger caliber weapons inside ordinary objects.

Because it’s not like you can make one in your garage, right? Ugly little cuss, but it worked.

Everyday, No Days Off has a video where a guy made a working shotgun from some pipe and a staple gun. If you’re short a staple gun, you can just use a length of pipe with another piece of pipe with a slightly larger inner diameter and a nail / screw through the bottom. Putting on my broken record hat – guns are NOT difficult items to make. What’s difficult to make are reliable weaponry that lasts a long time. If someone finally figures out how to get the toothpaste back in the tube and manages...

Only outlaws will have weapons made out of office supplies Now, I hear what some of you are thinking right now. And you should be ashamed of yourself. But others might be thinking “Robb, none of these are weapons capable of causing deaths measured by stadium seating capacities”. True, but just think about it for a moment. This kid, using school and laundry supplies, has made some basic weaponry that could cause injuries. He’s a kid. Now, extrapolate the child into an adult with some basic...

I mean, if you could make guns out of household materials, the Brady Background checks with their stunning .2% success rates wouldn’t be worth it.

You can build them in your garage. Looks like Tactilite has some competition.

The bullets are quite simple to construct as well. Neat concept of taking used brass and making the jackets for the bullets. Hollowpoints to boot! So, you can ban pretty much everything, but humans are notorious for being ingenious and working with what they have at their disposal. Of course, law abiding citizens would follow the law, but the criminals would still have an unlimited supply of guns and ammo. Is that what you really want, anti’s? Don’t answer that, it’s rhetorical and we all...

Banning guns will make them disappear since it's impossible to make one out of things like a staple gun.

Airsoft minigun fires close to 10,000 rounds per minute. Watch the video and notice how plastic pellets simply tear up the target into confetti. Your flesh ain't exactly hardened material and I have a feeling getting shot with one of those could be a painful, if not lethal experience. And thus, we come back full circle to the stupid idea that you can ban an object and somehow change people's behavior. The knowledge on how to make a tool that throws an object at high velocity is now commodity,...

For the billionth time, firearms are simple items to make. Banning them does no good when they can be made with common, farm items BEIJING (Reuters) – A Chinese farmer has declared war on property developers who want his land, building a cannon out of a wheelbarrow and pipes and firing rockets at would-be eviction teams, state media said on Tuesday. The most common argument for banning firearms is that criminals will no longer have easy access to them and thus, deprived of a weapon they...

A paper 1911 Watch the video. Be amazed. The detail is stunning. It CYCLES, the magazine can hold cartridges, and even the safeties work! This is one hell of a talented kid. And while this one is paper, with that kind of skill it wouldn't take much effort for him to build one out of workable materials. Hat tip The Firearm Blog

Often, Chris Rock is cited as a great source for a logical solution to guns. In one of his comedy routines, he mentions Everybody is talking about gun control. Got to control the guns. Fuck, that, I like guns. If you've got a gun, you don't need to work out! Cause, I ain't working out. I ain't jogging. No, I think we need some bullet control. I think every bullet should cost five thousand dollars. Five thousand dollars for a bullet. Know why? Cos if a bullet cost five thousand dollars,...
