I’ve been meaning to hop into this discussion because it has been bugging me like that piece of popcorn that always seems to get caught at the back of your throat. A few days ago, Chance reviewed the Crimson Trace Lightguard and of course, mall-ninjas came out of the woodwork to harp on how a light gives away your tactical element of surprise during a home invasion. Caleb did a pretty good dissection of the general stupidity here I see comments like this all the time, and they drive me up...

What do you do when you can’t manage your money correctly? Buckle down and trim the fat? Oh hells no! You simply assert that you have the right to someone else’s money “We are entitled to more money from the only industry in the county – Jack Daniel’s distillery,” said Charles Rogers, a 75-year-old retiree and self-described “concerned citizen” of Moore County – home to Lynchburg and Jack Daniel’s. Read that first sentence again. Some addlebrained septuagenarian thinks that simply because...

Seems to be a common, lefty view. Anyone who doesn’t believe exactly as you do should be rounded up and ‘reeducated’ Many times I’ve riffed on a dark, delicious fantasy about rounding up Tea Bagger types and sentencing them to green re-education camps for minimum one-year terms. Now, maybe it’s selection bias, but the right leaning web sites that tend to call for similar things are considered kooky by even the right leaning folks. For the left, this seems to be a common thread. Notice...

Remember when I said I wanted a Rhino? Not any more. Not only are the initial reports of reliability far from promising, but Chiappa has decided to go the RFID route during the manufacturing of their firearms. Let me say something first about RFID – I don’t have a general problem with it for inventory control. Not having to open and close boxes and to be able to inventory and entire pallet of goods just by walking around it is a technological time and money saver that cannot be discounted....

I’m not going to lie, full auto fire is fun. Burst is a blast as well. In this regard, the gov’t has won – I refuse to jump through the hoops needed to get any sort of NFA item, including cans or auto weaponry. Every time I think about getting a suppressor, I get frustrated at the crap I’d have to go through PLUS pay $600+ for a $20 part and, should I want another for a different firearm, I’d have to set up the entire dog and pony show yet again and give up.
