I see ads now for Coca-cola, now in a New User Friendly Size!

12.5 oz instead of 16. Same price.

I hear chocolate rations will be raised again next week.

The Progressives currently in power are actually pretty happy about inflation at this point. Inflation is all about the de-valuation of the dollar. When the stock market is stagnating, some moderate inflation will make the stock market appear to be rallying because, while the stocks themselves aren't gaining in value, it takes more dollars to buy them. SO, the numbers go up giving the gov and the media something to point at and say "See, the economy is getting better". Except, it isn't. It's all just a crappy numbers game.

Especially strange since the cost of Coca-cola is the packaging. The plastic bottle, aluminimum can, or paper cup (via fast food) is 90% of the cost.

Decreasing the volume makes it a little lighter to ship, and saves a little on the packaging, but the saving is miniscule. They would have been much better off increasing the size 50% and jacking the price 28%.
