I am not an anarchist. I do not believe that humans can coexist without some basic, agreed upon framework. Sure, if every last person was a Anarcho-Capitalist who each shared the exact same philosophy, then it would work, but that goes for Communism, Socialism, and any sort of ism. The problem is that there will be differences that need some sort of framework to settle and thus if you call that ‘mutually agreed upon rules’ or ‘government’, it is just that.
The problem is that governments, instead of being disinterested arbiters of disputes using a generalized framework of rules to judge by, become micromanagers thinking that every problem has a perfectly constructed set of solutions that they can enforce with clarity.
Joe shows why this is utter horseshit
So the bottom line is that if I remove the doors from the shed I can store 18,000 pounds of explosives. If I put the doors on I can only store 50 pounds.
Got that? His ‘mobile’ enclosure (since it’s bolted to concrete, you can cut the bolts and move it! BRILLIANT!) cannot store more than 50 pounds unless it is not an enclosure, then he can store 18,000 pounds. Read the whole exchange, it will make your head spin.
I don’t have to be nice to the ATF like Joe does. I don’t work with the idiots, thankfully. I’ve often thought about hosting a Boomershoot here in Florida, but the more I read about things like this, the less desire I have to deal with the idiocy.
Private entities have the same faults. One time at a previous job, I went on a business trip. They would not reimburse me unless I had the original receipts. I didn’t get a receipt from my hotel so they said to have it faxed. You see, copies were not allowed by the rule book, but faxes were. The girl taking care of my issue couldn’t do anything because she only worked there and had to follow the rules, regardless of how stupid they are.
The difference is that when I get irritated at Company X’s regulations, I can choose not to do business with them. With the government, I don’t get that choice. In fact, the government can decide to send disinterested men with guns to enforce their rules. Company X cannot.
Just don't commit crimes trying to make others play your stupid little games.
