Either he's a false-flag anti pretending to be pro-gun, or he's a self-serving jerk pretending to be pro-gun. Either way the end-result is the same.

The security code rejects comments 'cause our blogging system quite frankly sucks. We'll be moving to Wordpress early next year.

As to what happened, I really, really, REALLY didn't want to do that pos, as I've made it a point to keep out of flamewars for the past 18 years (yes, I was on Usenet, IRC and email before the web came around. I'm old.).

I don't mind controversy, which is why I kept silent over the "Don't be a d*ck" comments. Personal styles of blogging come and go, and personalities can (and do) clash.

However, a blog that censors critical comments is a blog that doesn't learn from its mistakes, and then it's not a blog. The authority of a blog derives from the crowdsourcing the fact-checking of what it is saying and how it is saying it, not from a unity of message, squelching of opposing viewpoints and some farcical aquatic ceremony. I digress...

The essence of social media is that the Tdeer now have guns. If you don't like that, keep your head down and don't be a target.

As to the boycott, sure, I'm in. There'll be posts aplenty on that site crucifying themselves for what we're doing (which is silly when you think about it because if you crucify yourself, there's no way to hammer in the third nail. I digress. Again.).

Meh.

My success in life is measured by (in order of importance), my faith, the love of my wife and family and my career. Shooting is WAY down on that list, and blogging even moreso.

I got better things to do with my blood pressure.
