A bill has been introduced to ban pocket knives from any sort of edumacational campus. Seriously.
20 (2)(a) A person shall not possess any firearm, electric 21 weapon or device, destructive device, or other weapon as defined 22 in s. 790.001(13), including a razor blade or box cutter or a 23 common pocketknife, except as authorized in support of school- 24 sanctioned activities, at a school-sponsored event or on the 25 property of any school, school bus, or school bus stop; however, 26 a person may carry a firearm:

A common pocketknife is now considered a threat worthy of killing you over. That’s right, when little Timmy carries his miniature Swiss Army pocketknife to Boy Scouts, the police are authorized to use deadly force against such a dangerous criminal.
Now, that’s definitely hyperbole, right? Cops would never taser or cuff a small child, would they?
Oh, I guess they would.
So, let’s introduce yet another law that will have no effect on crime except to increase it as more and more honest citizens are trapped in the myriad of indecipherable and illogical rules these boneheads keep trying to put on us. That Ari Porth (D – Idiotsville) even submitted this law without fear of being tarred and feathered is an absolute disgrace and shows just how far we’ve fallen as a country.
At least our lawmakers aren’t so stupid as to file a law specifically aimed at a single criminal to ensure he gets recompensed for committing his crimes.
What? Two lawmakers have done just that?
