Pay attention to your surroundings.
Now, I’m not sure the author exposing his firearm to a cop as an indicator that the perp the cop was eying was armed was a good idea or not. “Gun Hands” won’t get you suspended from school while you’re at a Cracker Barrel and may have been a better or at least a bit more subtle way of indicating the armament situations, but it worked and that’s a good thing, my Monday Morning Quarterbacking aside.
