To a point, Filipe is right – our asinine drug laws have a lot to do with the violence they are seeing. Legalized drugs will be cheap. The need for such cartels will vanish as the danger involved in the manufacture disappears. You don’t see the Bayer company fighting turf wars with Walgreens Generics do you? This isn’t to say legalization will not bring about a whole slew of other problems, but those are ones that can be dealt with without the need to trample everyone’s rights.

On the other point, he couldn’t be any more wrong without being a member of Obama’s PR team. But when you claim that firearms are the cause of arson, there’s just not much room to argue – you’ve proven yourself beyond the reach of any semblance of logic or reason.
